  • Service will be increased, to reduce crowding.

  • The service will be improved from every 5 minutes 45 seconds to every 5 minutes during the midday from Monday to Friday.

  • On Saturdays the service will be improved from every 8 minutes to every 6 minutes in the early morning, from every 7 minutes 30 seconds to every 5 minutes 30 seconds during the daytime, from every 8 minutes 40 seconds to every 6 minutes 30 seconds in the early evening, and from every 10 minutes to every 8 minutes in the late evening.

506 Carlton

Service improvement - Effective January 5, 2009

  • Service will be increased in the morning peak period from Monday to Friday. The service will be improved from every 13 minutes to every 11 minutes.

  • Service will be increased in afternoon on Sundays and holidays, to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 6 minutes 45 seconds to every 5 minutes 40 seconds.

39 Finch East

Service improvement - Effective January 5, 2009

  • The 39 FINCH EAST route will be extended east from Neilson Road to Old Finch Avenue and Valley Centre Drive during the peak periods from Monday to Friday, for a trial period. Buses on the new 39G FINCH EAST (Finch Station-Old Finch Express) service will operate every 8 to 9 minutes. Frequent service will continue to operate on the 39E FINCH EAST (Finch Station-Neilson Express) branch.

  • Buses on this extension will operate east on Finch Avenue, south on Morningside Avenue, east on Old Finch Avenue, south on Morningview Trail, west on Sewells Road, north on Littles Road, west on Old Finch Avenue, north on Morningside Avenue, and west on Finch Avenue.

Stopping pattern:

  • Same as 39E (Finch Station-Neilson Express) branch west of Neilson Road; serves all local stops east of Neilson Road.

  • In the midday the service will be improved from every 4 minutes 45 seconds to every 4 minutes 20 seconds.

  • In the early evening the service will be improved from every 6 minutes 15 seconds to every 5 minutes 30 seconds.

  • In the late evening the service will be improved from every 9 minutes to every 7 minutes 30 seconds.

51 Leslie

Service improvement - Effective January 5, 2009

  • An additional northbound trip will be added from Monday to Friday to reduce crowding after classes at Zion Heights Jr. High School are dismissed. The additional trip will operate northbound from Finch Avenue at 3:20 p.m.

116 Morningside

Routing change - Effective January 4, 2009

  • The 116 MORNINGSIDE route will be extended north to Finch Avenue and the Morningside Heights community, at all times, for a trial period.
    Buses on the extended 116 MORNINGSIDE (Kennedy Station-Finch) route will operate north on Morningside Avenue, east on Staines Road, north on Mantis Road, west on Nightstar Road, and south on Morningside Avenue.

  • Buses will operate every five to six minutes during the peak periods and every six to 24 minutes at off-peak times.

  • The temporary service operated by the 116 MORNINGSIDE route on Old Finch Avenue, Littles Road and Sewells Road will end. New service on Old Finch Avenue will be provided by an extension of the 39 FINCH EAST route.

Schedule change - Effective January 4, 2009

  • Schedules will be revised to improve service reliability, and to reduce crowding.

  • Minor changes will be made to service levels in the peak periods, midday and early evening from Monday to Friday. Specific trip times will change.

  • Service will be increased in the afternoon on Saturdays, and in the daytime and evening on Sundays and holidays. Combined service east of Humber Loop will be scheduled every four to ten minutes. Service west of Humber Loop to Long Branch Loop will be scheduled every eight to 19 minutes.

109 Ranee

Service improvement - Effective January 4, 2009

  • Service will be increased during the evenings on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. The combined service will operate every 22 minutes 30 seconds.

  • New service will be operated during the evenings on the 109C RANEE (Eglinton West Station–Neptune via Marlee and Varna) branch.

  • With this change, service will be operated all day, every day, on both the 109B RANEE (Eglinton West Station–Neptune via Marlee and Flemington) and 109C RANEE (Eglinton West Station–Neptune via Marlee and Varna) branches.
