The west-end loop will be expanded after 11:00 p.m., seven days a week. Buses on the new 49A Bloor West (Kipling Stn-Markland Wood and Burnhamthorpe) branch will run west on Bloor, north on Markland, north on Mill, east on Burnhamthorpe, south on West Mall, and east on Bloor.

The northbound trips on Routes 136 and 144 will be combined in the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday. Buses will run from downtown, north on the Don Valley Parkway, to St. Dennis, Wynford Heights, and Concorde Place, then north again on the Don Valley Parkway, and north from Lawrence on Underhill and Valleywoods, and east on York Mills to Victoria Park. In the morning, the trips from Underhill and from Wynford will continue to run separately, but both will be identified as Route 144.
Extension to Pearson Airport

This overnight route (runs from approximately 2:00 to 5:00 a.m.) will be extended north on Renforth and Silver Dart to the airport, where it will serve the same stops as the 58 Malton route does during the rest of the day.

Service along Kingston Road east of St. Clair Avenue will continue to be provided by the 102 Markham Rd. and 86 Scarborough routes.
197 North Yonge
New route during construction of Sheppard Subway

The 97 Yonge route will be divided into two separate routes, seven days a week, to improve the reliability of service south of York Mills Road during the construction of the Sheppard Subway, expected to be complete in 2002. Buses on the northern part of the route will run between Lawrence Station and Steeles (serving Moore Park and Hilda), and will be identified as 197 North Yonge (Lawrence Stn-Steeles).

Buses will run from Royal York Station, south on Royal York, east on the Queensway, south on Grand, west on Portland, and will return north on Royal York.

New service will be provided during the morning and afternoon peak periods from Monday to Friday. The 163 Rustic Rd (Wilson Stn-Jane) route will run from Wilson Station, west on Wilson, south on Keele, west on Rustic, north on Culford, and west on Falstaff to an on-street loop at Jane.
Removal of non-summer weekend service to Toronto Zoo

Service to the Toronto Zoo will be removed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays outside the summer. The 85 Sheppard East route will continue to serve the zoo on weekends, and the 86 Scarborough route will continue to serve the zoo from Monday to Friday.

Saturday, Sunday, and holiday service east of Meadowvale Road will be an extension of the service west of Meadowvale Road, instead of a separate branch as at present. During the daytime, and during the early evening in summer, buses will run on a new 85D Sheppard East (Sheppard Stn-Rouge Hill GO Stn via Toronto Zoo) branch. During the early evening outside the summer, buses will follow the same 85A Sheppard East (Sheppard Stn-Rouge Hill GO Stn) branch as is used during the week.

The east-end loop of the 53B Steeles East (Finch Stn-Markham Rd) and 53E Steeles East Express (Finch Stn-Markham Rd) branches will be expanded. These branches run during the morning and afternoon peak periods and the midday from Monday to Friday. Buses will run east on Steeles, north on McCowan, east on Elson, south on Highway 48, and will return west on Steeles.
New service to West Park Hospital and removal of late evening service north of St. Clair Avenue

During the morning and afternoon peak periods from Monday to Friday, every third bus will be extended north on Weston Road to West Park Hospital. Buses on the new 168B Symington (Dundas West Stn-West Park) branch will run west on Rogers Road, north on Weston, west on Dora Spencer, south on Charlton Settlement, and west on Buttonwood to West Park Hospital. Service will be removed north of St. Clair Avenue after approximately 10:00 p.m., seven days a week. Customers travelling to or from the section of Old Weston Road north of St. Clair will still be served by the 41 Keele route.

the trips between Kipling Station and Disco Road will operate via Rangoon,
on a new branch, 112F

This overnight route (runs from approximately 2:00 to 5:00 a.m.) will be extended north on Martin Grove to Steeles. Overnight service on Humber College Boulevard and Humberline Drive will be replaced by the revised 309 Finch West route.
97 Yonge
Route divided into two sections

The 97 Yonge route will be divided into two separate routes, to improve the reliability of service south of York Mills Road during the construction of the Sheppard Subway, expected to be complete in 2002. The northern part of the route will be named 197 North Yonge, and was described earlier. During the morning and afternoon peak periods, buses will run on two branches, 97A Yonge (York Mills Stn-Davisville Stn via Yonge Blvd.) and 97B Yonge (York Mills Stn-Queens Quay via Yonge Blvd). During the midday from Monday to Friday, buses will run on the 97D Yonge (York Mills Stn-St. Clair Stn via Yonge Blvd) branch. During the evening and on weekends, buses will run on the 97A Yonge (York Mills Stn-Davisville Stn via Yonge Blvd) branch.
