511 Bathurst

Vehicle type change

  • This route will be changed to operate with regular-sized streetcars (CLRVs) instead of the longer articulated streetcars (ALRVs), all day, from Monday to Friday. The ALRVs removed from the 511 Bathurst route will be used instead to increase capacity on the very busy 504 King route. On the 511 Bathurst route, the service will be improved from every 6 minutes 30 seconds to every 4 minutes 30 seconds in the morning peak period, from every 9 minutes to every 8 minutes in the midday, and from every 7 minutes to every 4 minutes 45 seconds in the afternoon peak period.

  • There will be no change to the service on Saturdays, when ALRVs will continue to be used on 511 Bathurst, or on Sundays and holidays, when CLRVs will continue to be used from September to May, and ALRVs will continue to be used from May to September.

11 Bayview and 28 Davisville

Running time increase

  • The scheduled round trip time will be increased in the morning peak period and at certain other times of the day from Monday to Friday, to improve the reliability of service. During the morning peak period, the 11 Bayview service on Bayview Avenue will be changed from every 13 minutes to every 14 minutes, and the combined 11 Bayview and 28 Davisville service on Davisville Avenue will be changed from every 6 minutes 30 seconds to every 7 minutes.

17 Birchmount 

Route change

  • This route will be changed, at off-peak times, so that buses to Steeles Avenue will turn around in the new off-street loop on the west side of Warden Avenue, north of Steeles Avenue. With this change, service will be removed from the on-street looping via Steeles Avenue, Ferrier Street, Gibson Drive, and Warden Avenue. There will be no change to service to Steeles during the peak periods, which will continue to turn around on Wintermute Boulevard, or to service on the 17A (Warden Stn-14th Avenue) branch.

50 Burnhamthorpe

Schedule change

  • The schedule will be changed during the peak periods and midday from Monday to Friday, in order to operate a more-reliable service. There will be minor changes to trip times along the route. There will be no change to the overall service levels on the route.

20 Cliffside

Service increase

  • A new earlier round trip will be added from Monday to Friday, leaving Main Street Station at 4:50 a.m., and leaving Kennedy Station at 5:20 a.m. A new later westbound trip will be added, leaving Kennedy Station at 10:28 p.m., from Monday to Friday.

Walking transfer

  • A new walking transfer will be permitted, between the 67 Pharmacy route at Pharmacy Avenue and Denton Avenue, and the 20 Cliffside and 113 Danforth routes at Danforth Avenue and Pharmacy Avenue.

Schedule change

  • The schedule will be changed during the early evening from Monday to Friday, in order to operate a more-reliable service. There will be minor changes to trip times along the route. There will be no change to the overall service levels on the route.

32 Eglinton West

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the morning peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. The combined service between Keele Street and Eglinton West Station will be improved from every 2 minutes 32 seconds to every 2 minutes 12 seconds, and the combined service between Eglinton West Station and Eglinton Station will be improved from every 3 minutes 10 seconds to every 2 minutes 45 seconds.

Service increase

  • Service will be increased at the beginning of the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. The 8 minutes 15 seconds peak period service on the 32B (Eglinton Station-Renforth and Skymark) branch will start eastbound from Skymark at approximately 3:00 p.m. The more-frequent service will help reduce the overcrowding along the route which results at school dismissal time.

39 Finch East

Service increase

  • Service will be increased at the beginning of the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday. Twelve westbound express trips will be operated from Seneca College to Finch Station, leaving Seneca College between 2:50 and 3:30 p.m.

36 Finch West

Service increase and round-trip time increase

  • The service levels and round-trip time will be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, in order to operate a more reliable service. The combined service between Finch Station and Weston Road will be improved from every 3 minutes 53 seconds to every 3 minutes 45 seconds.

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the evening on Saturdays and the daytime and evening on Sundays, to reduce overcrowding. During the daytime on Sundays and holidays, the service will be improved from every 10 minutes to every 7 minutes. During the evenings on Saturdays, the service will be improved from every 13 minutes to every 12 minutes. During the evenings on Sundays and holidays, the service will be improved from every 17 minutes to every 12 minutes.

191 Highway 27 Rocket

Effective February 5, 2001

  • The routing of all off-peak buses on this route has changed, to bring service closer to Humber College, and to simplify the routing. There was no change to service levels or round-trip times. This routing change is during the midday and evening from Monday to Friday, and all day on Saturday. The routing during the peak periods from Monday to Friday has not change.

Routing details

Southbound, all off-peak times - From the Martin Grove/Steeles loop, east on Steeles, south on Martin Grove, west on Finch, south and east on Humber College Boulevard, south on Highway 27, south on Highway 427, east on Dundas, south on Aukland to Kipling Station.

Northbound, all off-peak times - From Kipling Station, west on St. Albans, north on Aukland, west on Dundas, north on Highway 427, north on Highway 27, west and north on Humber College Boulevard, east on Finch, north on Martin Grove, west on Steeles to Martin Grove/Steeles loop.

110 Islington South

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. The combined service between Judson Street and Islington Station will be improved from every 6 minutes to every 5 minutes 30 seconds.

40 Junction

Schedule change

  • The schedule will be changed during the evening from Monday to Friday, in order to operate a more-reliable service. There will be minor changes to trip times along the route. There will be no change to the overall service levels on the route.

41 Keele

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. The service will be improved from every 6 minutes 45 seconds to every 6 minutes 20 seconds.

Schedule change

  • The scheduled round trip time will be increased during the late evenings on Saturdays, in order to operate a more-reliable service. The service will change from every 20 minutes to every 22 minutes.

 43 Kennedy

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the early evenings on Sundays and holidays from approximately 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. to reduce overcrowding. The service will be improved from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes.

504 King

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the morning peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. Seven of the larger articulated streetcars will be used to replace some of the regular-size streetcars which are now used.

  • Three additional eastbound trips will be operated between Roncesvalles & Queen and Parliament Street in the morning peak period to reduce overcrowding.

Trip details:

Depart eastbound from Roncesvalles at approximately 7:50, 7:56, and 8:14 a.m.

Round-trip time increase

  • The round-trip running time will be increased during the busiest part of the morning peak period, in order to operate a more-reliable service.

45 Kipling

Service increase

  • Service will be increased at the end of the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, by operating later trips on the 45E (Kipling Station-Steeles Express) branch, to reduce overcrowding. Two northbound trips will be added from Kipling Station, departing at 6:27 and 6:45 p.m.

52 Lawrence West

Service increase

  • Service will be increased at the end of the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. Three additional westbound trips will be operated on the 52 (Lawrence Station-Martin Grove) branch, leaving from Lawrence Station between approximately 6:45 and 7:15 p.m.

70 O’Connor

Running time increase

  • The scheduled round trip time will be increased on the 70A (Coxwell Station-Eglinton) branch during the midday from Monday to Friday, to improve the reliability of service. Service on each of the 70A (Coxwell Station-Eglinton) and 70 (Coxwell Station-Warden) branches will be changed from every 22 minutes to every 23 minutes, and combined service between Coxwell Station and St. Clair & O’Connor will be changed from every 11 minutes to every 11 minutes 30 seconds.

72 Pape

Earlier trip

  • An earlier northbound trip will be added, departing from Commissioners Street and Cherry Street at 5:21 a.m., Monday to Friday.

501 Queen

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the morning peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. The combined service east of Humber Loop will be improved from every 5 minutes 30 seconds to every 5 minutes 07 seconds, and the service between Long Branch Loop and Humber Loop will be improved from every 11 minutes to every 10 minutes 15 seconds.

80 Queensway

Schedule change

  • The schedule will be changed during the peak periods from Monday to Friday, in order to operate a more-reliable service. There will be minor changes to trip times along the route. There will be no change to the overall service levels on the route.

73 Royal York

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the midday from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. The service will be improved from every 15 minutes to every 12 minutes.

76 Royal York South

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the midday from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. The service will be improved from every 12 minutes to every 9 minutes.

  • All trips which leave service at the south end of the route will be changed to remain in service as far north as Evans Avenue. This change will carry customers to a point where they can continue their northbound trip on any following 76 Royal York South or 15 Evans bus.

86 Scarborough

Hours of service to Toronto Zoo

  • Later service will be provided from the Toronto Zoo in the early evening, seven days a week, to match the later closing time of the zoo, at 6:00 p.m. From Monday to Friday, the last trip on the 86A Scarborough (Kennedy Station-Toronto Zoo) branch will leave from the zoo at approximately 7:00 p.m. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, the last trip on the 85B Sheppard East (Sheppard Station-Toronto Zoo) and the 85D Sheppard East (Sheppard Station-Rouge Hill GO Station via Toronto Zoo) branches will leave from the zoo at approximately 7:00 p.m.

85 Sheppard East

Hours of service to Toronto Zoo

  • Later service will be provided from the Toronto Zoo in the early evening, seven days a week, to match the later closing time of the zoo, at 6:00 p.m. From Monday to Friday, the last trip on the 86A Scarborough (Kennedy Station-Toronto Zoo) branch will leave from the zoo at approximately 7:00 p.m. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, the last trip on the 85B Sheppard East (Sheppard Station-Toronto Zoo) and the 85D Sheppard East (Sheppard Station-Rouge Hill GO Station via Toronto Zoo) branches will leave from the zoo at approximately 7:00 p.m.

53 Steeles East

  • Service will be increased at the end of the morning peak period, from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. Five eastbound trips on the 53B (Finch Station-Markham Rd) branch and one eastbound trip on the 53E (Finch Station-Markham Rd Express) branch will be added. The new trips will leave from Finch Station between approximately 8:34 and 9:35 a.m.

60 Steeles West

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. The service will be improved from every 3 minutes 50 seconds to every 3 minutes 30 seconds.

168 Symington

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. The service will be improved from every 8 minutes to every 7 minutes.

324 Victoria Park

Route change

  • This route will be extended north, to turn around in the new off-street loop on the west side of Warden Avenue, north of Steeles Avenue, at all times when they now turn around on Bamburgh Circle. There will be no change to service levels or trip times. With this change, all service will be removed from Bamburgh Circle.

68 Warden

Route change

  • This route will be extended north, to turn around in the new off-street loop on the west side of Warden Avenue, north of Steeles Avenue, at all times when they now turn around on Bamburgh Circle. In the midday, the combined service between Kipling Station and Eglinton Avenue will be improved from every 15 minutes to every 12 minutes. In the afternoon peak period, the combined service between Kipling Station and Eglinton Avenue will be improved from every 10 minutes to every 7 minutes 30 seconds.

89 Weston

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the morning peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. The service will be improved from every 6 minutes 45 seconds to every 6 minutes.

  • Service will be increased during the late evening from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. The service will be improved from every 15 minutes to every 12 minutes.

  • Two later trips will be operated from Monday to Friday, departing northbound from Keele Station at approximately 1:50 and 2:10 a.m.

96 Wilson

Running time increase

  • The scheduled round trip time will be increased in both peak periods from Monday to Friday, on the 96E (Wilson Station-Humber College Express) branch, in order to operate a more-reliable service. In the morning peak period, the service will change from every 15 minutes to every 14 minutes. In the afternoon peak period, the service will change from every 20 minutes to every 21 minutes.

95 York Mills

Service increase and running time increase

  • Service will be increased in the morning and afternoon peak periods to reduce overcrowding. The scheduled round trip time will be increased during the morning and afternoon peak periods from Monday to Friday, to improve the reliability of service.

  • In the morning, the combined service between York Mills Station and Victoria Park Avenue will be improved from every 2 minutes 53 seconds to every 2 minutes 50 seconds. In the afternoon peak period, the combined service between York Mills Station and Victoria Park Avenue will be improved from every 4 minutes 20 seconds to every 4 minutes 10 seconds.
