192 Airport Rocket

Service reliability improvement

  • The schedule will be changed, to improve the reliability of the service. Departure times from the airport will be changed slightly. There will be no change to departure times from Kipling Station, or to the overall service levels.

5 Avenue Rd

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced during the daytime on Saturdays, so that the resources can be used to increase service on other routes. The service will change from every 13 min 20 s to every 20 min.

7 Bathurst

Service reliability improvement

  • Additional time will be added to the schedules of the 7 Bathurst (Bathurst Stn-Steeles) branch, to reduce the effects of increased traffic congestion and to improve the reliability of the service. During the morning peak period, the service will change from every 6 min to every 6 min 30 s. During the midday from Monday to Friday, the service will change from every 6 min to every 6 min 30 s. There will be no change to service levels during the afternoon peak period. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, the service during the early evening will change from every 10 min 15 s to every 10 min.

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced during the peak periods on the 7A Bathurst (St Clair West-Wilson Stn) branch, so that the resources can be used to increase service on other routes. The service will change from every 15 min to every 20 min during the morning peak period, and from every 15 min 15 s to every 20 min during the afternoon peak period.

50 Burnhamthorpe

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced during the midday from Monday to Friday and the early evening on Saturdays, so that the resources can be used to increase service on other routes. The service will change from every 12 min to every 20 min during the midday from Monday to Friday, and from every 15 min to every 30 min during the early evening on Saturday.

506 Carlton

Weekend bus replacement ends

  • The temporary replacement bus service on Saturdays and Sundays because of City of Toronto sewer work will end, and full streetcar service will resume on February 17, 2002.

120 Calvington

Saturday service eliminated

  • Saturday service will be eliminated, because of unacceptable financial performance. The last day of Saturday service will be February 16, 2002.

87 Cosburn and 70 O'Connor

Trip time change

  • Two trips that serve East York C.I. from Monday to Friday will be changed to better meet the new dismissal time of the school at 3:40 p.m. One trip on the 87 Cosburn route will be changed to depart westbound at 3:45 p.m. One trip on the 70 O'Connor route will be changed to depart southbound at 3:46 p.m.

127 Davenport

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced during the afternoon peak period, so that the resources can be used to increase service on other routes. The service will change from every 16 min to every 25 min.

25 Don Mills

Service reliability improvement

  • Additional time will be added to the schedules during the midday and afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce the effects of increased traffic congestion and to improve the reliability of the service. During the midday, the service will change from every 6 min 40 s to every 7 min. There will be no change to service levels in the afternoon peak period.

Service increase

  • One additional northbound trip will be added, leaving Pape Station at 8:57 a.m., to reduce crowding. The additional trip will operate to Lawrence Avenue only.

Trip time change

  • A southbound trip in the afternoon from Monday to Friday from Duncan Mill Road will be scheduled to start a few minutes later, at 3:24 p.m., to better meet the dismissal times at schools on Don Mills Road.

108 Downsview

Service increase

  • Service will be increased between approximately 5:30 and 7:00 p.m. on Saturdays, to reduce crowding. The service will change from every 15 min to every 11 min.

26 Dupont

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced during the late evening from Monday to Friday, so that the resources can be used to increase service on other routes. The service will change from every 20 min to every 30 min.

32 Eglinton West

Extension to Airport Corporate Centre

  • In co-operation with Mississauga Transit, new Monday to Friday peak period and midday service will be operated to the Airport Corporate Centre from Eglinton Station on the Yonge Subway and Eglinton West Station on the Spadina Subway. The service will operate on a new 32B Eglinton West (Eglinton Stn-Airport Corporate Centre) branch, as far west as Matheson Boulevard Extension and Tech Avenue, just east of Dixie Road. Service will operate every 16 min 30 s in the peak periods and every 14 min in the midday. There will be no change to service on the present route. Only TTC fares and GTA passes will be valid for travel on the route, and Mississauga Transit fares, transfers, and passes will not be accepted. The present 32B Eglinton West (Eglinton Stn-Renforth) and 32B Eglinton West (Eglinton Stn-Renforth & Skymark) branches will be designated as the 32 Eglinton West (Eglinton Stn-Renforth) and 32 Eglinton West (Eglinton Stn-Renforth & Skymark) branches. Funding for this new service is provided by the City of Mississauga.

Westbound 32B: From Eglinton Station, west on Eglinton Avenue, through Eglinton West Station, west on Eglinton Avenue, north on Commerce Boulevard, west on Skymark Avenue, north on Explorer Drive, west on Matheson Boulevard, south on Spectrum Way, west on Eglinton Avenue, north on Matheson Boulevard Extension to Tech Avenue (just east of Dixie Road).

Eastbound 32B: From Tech Avenue, east on Tech Avenue, north on Creekbank Road, east on Matheson Boulevard, south on Explorer Drive, east on Skymark Avenue, south on Commerce Boulevard, east on Eglinton Avenue, through Eglinton West Station, east on Eglinton Avenue to Eglinton Station.

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced on Sundays, so that the resources can be used to increase service on other routes. The service will change from every 15 min to every 30 min.

39 Finch East

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced during the peak periods between McCowan Road and Neilson Road, so that the resources can be used to increase service on other routes. Instead of all express buses operating on the 39E Finch East (Finch Stn-Neilson Express) branch, every second bus will operate as far east as McCowan Road only, on the 39C Finch East (Finch Stn-McCowan Express) branch.

  • The service east of McCowan Road will change from every 2 min 20 s to every 4 min 40 s in the morning, and from every 3 min 30 s to every 7 min in the afternoon. There will be no change to the service levels west of McCowan Road.

35 Jane

Service increase

  • Service will be increased early in the morning from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. Four additional trips will be added, departing southbound from Finch Avenue between approximately 5:30 and 6:00 a.m.

45 Kipling

Service increase

  • An additional trip will be added at the beginning of the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The new trip will start service northbound on Kipling Avenue at Dixon Road at 2:56 p.m.

74 Mt Pleasant

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced during the midday from Monday to Friday and the daytime on Saturday, so that the resources can be used to increase service on other routes. The service will change from every 15 min to every 30 min.

103 Mt Pleasant North

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced during the afternoon peak period, so that the resources can be used to increase service on other routes. The service will change from every 10 min to every 15 min.

64 Main

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced during the late evening from Monday to Friday, so that the resources can be used to increase service on other routes. After 11:00 p.m., the service will change from every 15 min to every 30 min.

102 Markham Rd

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced during the late evening on Saturdays, so that the resources can be used to increase service on other routes. The service will change from every 15 min to every 20 min.

131 Nugget

Service increase

  • A new earlier westbound trip will be added, leaving Old Finch Avenue at 5:20 a.m. from Monday to Friday. The addition of this trip meets the TTC's financial standard.

Faster service

  • The running time will be reduced, during the morning peak period from Monday to Friday, in order provide a faster and more reliable service. The service on the 131E Nugget (Old Finch-Kennedy Stn Express) branch will be improved from 7 min 15 s to every 7 min.

48 Rathburn

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced during the afternoon peak period, so that the resources can be used to increase service on other routes. The service will change from every 11 min to every 15 min.

161 Rogers Rd

Service increase

  • Service will be increased at the end of the afternoon on Sundays and holidays, to reduce crowding. One additional northbound/westbound trip will be added, departing Ossington Station at approximately 6:40 p.m.

86 Scarborough and 85 Sheppard East

Later service from Toronto Zoo - Seasonal service change

  • Later service will be provided from the Toronto Zoo in the early evening, seven days a week, to match the later closing time of the zoo, at 6:00 p.m.

  • From Monday to Friday, the last trip on the 86A Scarborough (Kennedy Stn-Toronto Zoo) branch will leave from the zoo at approximately 7:00 p.m.

  • On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, the last trip on the 85B Sheppard East (Sheppard Stn-Toronto Zoo) and the 85D Sheppard East (Sheppard Stn-Rouge Hill GO Stn via Toronto Zoo) branches will leave from the zoo at approximately 7:00 p.m. These changes will begin on Saturday, March 9.

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday to reduce crowding. The combined service between Sheppard Station and Victoria Park will change from every 3 min 23 s to every 3 min. Service on each of the 85 (Sheppard Stn-Meadowvale), 85C (Sheppard Stn-Victoria Park and Consumers Rd), 85E (Sheppard Stn-Rouge Hill GO Stn Express), and 85G (Sheppard Stn-Scarborough Centre Stn) branches will change from every 13 min 30 s to every 12 min.

84 Sheppard West

Service increase

  • Service will be increased at the end of the morning peak period, to reduce crowding. Seven additional westbound trips will be added, between Sheppard Station and Arrow Road. The trips will depart Sheppard Station between approximately 9:00 and 10:00 a.m.

Service increase

  • An additional southbound trip will be added on Norfinch Drive and Oakdale Road, at the end of the afternoon peak period. The trip will leave Steeles at 5:49 p.m., and will operate southbound as far as Sheppard Avenue and Oakdale Road only.

510 Spadina

Service increase

  • Service on the busiest part of the route will be increased during the daytime on Saturday, to reduce crowding. The service north of King Street will be improved from every 2 min 30 s to every 2 min 20 s, and the service to Union Station will change from every 5 min to every 7 min.

94 Wellesley

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced during the morning peak period, so that the resources can be used to increase service on other routes. The service between Wellesley Station and Castle Frank Station will change from every 5 min to every 5 min 30 s, and the service west of Wellesley Station will change from every 10 min to every 11 min.

165 Weston Rd North

Extension to Major Mackenzie Drive

  • In co-operation with York Region Transit, the 165 Weston Rd. North route will be extended north from Rutherford Road to Major Mackenzie Drive. This change will be made during the peak periods, midday, and early evening from Monday to Friday, the daytime and early evening on Saturday, and the daytime on Sundays and holidays. All trips which now turn around at Rutherford Road will be extended to Major Mackenzie Drive, and the branch will be renamed 165D Weston Rd. North (York Mills Stn-Major Mackenzie). At Major Mackenzie Drive, buses will turn around in a new off-street loop on the south side of Major Mackenzie Drive, just west of Weston Road.

  • Service north of Steeles Avenue during the morning peak period will be improved from every 28 min to every 21 min. There will be no change to service levels at other times of the week. The service north of Steeles Avenue will continue to operate every 18 min in the afternoon peak period, and every 30 to 60 minutes at off peak times.

  • Funding for the service north of Steeles Avenue is provided by York Region. Customers travelling north of Steeles Avenue must pay the appropriate York Region Transit fare.

Trip time change

  • The first southbound trip from Monday to Friday will be changed to depart from Victoria Park Avenue at 5:21 a.m. and arrive at Woodbine Station five minutes earlier, at 5:45 a.m., so that customers can connect with the first eastbound subway trip at 5:47 a.m. The first northbound trip will be changed to leave Woodbine Station two minutes earlier, at 4:58 a.m.
