117 Alness

Service reliability improvement

  • Additional time will be added to the schedules during the midday from Monday to Friday, in order to operate a more reliable service. This change is necessary because of increasing traffic congestion. Service will be improved from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes.

6 Bay

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced during the morning peak period and the midday from Monday to Friday, so that the resources can be reallocated to other TTC routes. During the morning peak period, the combined service between Bay Station and Dundas Street will change from every 2 minutes 30 seconds to every 3 minutes 15 seconds. Service north of Bay Station and south of Dundas Street will change from every 5 minutes to every 6 minutes 30 seconds. During the midday the service will change from every 7 minutes 30 seconds to every 10 minutes.

17 Birchmount

Service increase

  • Two earlier trips will be added from Monday to Friday, southbound from Steeles Avenue. The two trips that currently start at McNicoll & Kennedy Loop at 5:00 and 5:20 a.m. will be changed to start southbound from Steeles Avenue at 4:57 and 5:17 a.m.

20 Cliffside

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced during the midday from Monday to Friday, so that the resources can be reallocated to other TTC routes. The service will change from every 15 minutes to every 20 minutes.

25 Don Mills

Service reliability improvement

  • The times of several southbound trips in the evening from Monday to Friday will be adjusted, in order to operate a more reliable and evenly-spaced service. The 9:58 p.m. southbound trip from 16th Avenue will be changed to depart at 10:01 p.m. A new trip will be added southbound from Steeles Avenue at 10:04 p.m.

105 Dufferin North

Service reliability improvement

  • Additional time will be added to the schedules during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, in order to operate a more reliable service. This change is necessary because of increasing traffic congestion. The service will change from every 15 minutes to every 16 minutes.

36 Finch West

Service reliability improvement

  • Additional time will be added to the schedules during the evenings and weekends, in order to operate a more reliable service. This change is necessary because of increasing traffic congestion.

  • During the early evening from Monday to Friday, the combined service east of Kipling Avenue will change from every 8 minutes 30 seconds to every 9 minutes 30 seconds. During the late evening from Monday to Friday, the combined service east of Kipling Avenue will change from every 10 minutes to every 11 minutes.

  • During the daytime on Saturdays, the combined service east of Kipling Avenue will change from every 6 minutes 30 seconds to every 7 minutes 30 seconds. On Sundays there will be no change to service levels, but trip times will change.

100 Flemingdon Park

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced during the afternoon peak period, so that the resources can be reallocated to other TTC routes. The combined service between Broadview Station and Don Mills & Eglinton will change from every 5 minutes 27 seconds to every 6 minutes 40 seconds. Service along Eglinton Avenue to Eglinton Station will change from every 15 minutes to every 20 minutes. Departure times from Broadview Station will be more evenly-spaced than before.

37 Islington

Service reliability improvement

  • Additional time will be added to the schedules from Monday to Friday, in order to operate a more reliable service. This change is necessary because of increasing traffic congestion.

  • During the morning peak period, there will be no change to the service levels, but trip times on the 37D (Islington Station Highway 7 via Pine Valley) branch will change. During the midday, service on the 37A (Islington Station Woodbine and Humberwood via Rexdale Blvd) branch will be improved from every 20 minutes to every 17 minutes. Service on the 37D (Islington Station Highway 7 via Pine Valley) branch will change from every 30 minutes to every 34 minutes. The combined service on Islington Avenue between Steeles Avenue and Bergamot Drive will change from every 15 minutes to every 17 minutes.

  • During the afternoon peak period, service on the 37A (Islington Station Woodbine and Humberwood via Rexdale Blvd) branch will change from every 17 minutes to every 20 minutes. Service on the 37D (Islington Station Highway 7 via Pine Valley) branch will change from every 36 minutes to every 40 minutes. The combined service on Islington Avenue between Steeles Avenue and Bergamot Drive will change from every 9 minutes to every 10 minutes and the combined service on Islington Avenue between Bergamot Drive and Islington Station will change from every from every 5 minutes 53 seconds to every 6 minutes 40 seconds.

45 Kipling

New accessible service

  • New accessible service will be operated on this route, using low-floor buses.

Service increase

  • During the morning peak period, combined local bus service south of Belfield Drive will be improved from every 9 minutes to every 8 minutes. Express bus service will be improved from every 7 minutes to every 5 minutes 45 seconds.

  • During the midday from Monday to Friday, service on the 45 KIPLING (Kipling station - Steeles) branch will be improved from every 12 minutes to every 10 minutes. During the afternoon peak period, combined local bus service south of Belfield Drive will be improved from every 10 minutes 30 seconds to every 8 minutes 15 seconds. Express bus service will be improved from every 9 minutes to every 8 minutes.

  • On Saturdays, the service will be improved from every 10 minutes 15 seconds to every 9 minutes in the morning and to every 8 minutes in the afternoon. The service will be improved from every 15 minutes to every 12 minutes in the early evening on Saturdays. On Sundays and holidays, the service during the afternoon and early evening will be improved from every 15 minutes to every 12 minutes.

52 Lawrence West

Service increase

  • Service will be increased in the afternoon on Sundays and holidays to reduce crowding. Service will be improved from every 15 minutes to every 12 minutes. The combined service on the 52 LAWRENCE WEST and 58 MALTON routes between Lawrence West Station and Scarlett Road will be improved from every 7 minutes 30 seconds to every 6 minutes.

58 Malton

Service increase

  • Service will be increased in the afternoon on Sundays and holidays to reduce crowding. Combined service east of Pearson Airport will be improved from every 15 minutes to every 12 minutes. The combined service on the 52 LAWRENCE WEST and 58 MALTON routes between Lawrence West Station and Scarlett Road will be improved from every 7 minutes 30 seconds to every 6 minutes.

  • The scheduled time of trips early in the mornings on Sundays will be changed, in order to operate a more reliable service. There will be no changes to service levels, but specific trip times at Pearson Airport will change.

46 Martin Grove

Service reliability improvement

  • The scheduled time of many trips from Monday to Friday will be changed, in
    order to operate a more reliable service. This change is necessary because of increasing traffic congestion. There will be no changes to service levels, but specific trip times will change.

512 St Clair

Service reliability improvement

  • Additional time will be added to the schedules at all times of the week, in
    order to operate a more reliable service. This change is necessary because of deteriorating track conditions.

  • During the morning peak period from Monday to Friday, the combined service east of Lansdowne Avenue will change from every 2 minutes 40 seconds to every 3 minutes. During the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday the service will change from every 3 minutes 45 seconds to every 4 minutes. During the late evening from Monday to Friday the service will change from every 9 minutes to every 10 minutes.

  • During the daytime on Saturdays the service will be improved from every 8 minutes to every 7 minutes 30 seconds. During the early evening on Saturdays the service will change from every 8 minutes to every 9 minutes. During the late evening on Saturdays the service will change from every 11 minutes 10 seconds to every 12 minutes. During the early evening on
    Sundays and holidays the service will change from every 9 minutes 30 seconds to every 10 minutes. During the late evening on Sundays and holidays the service will change from every 14 minutes to every 15 minutes.

88 South Leaside

Routing change

  • The routing of eastbound buses on Wicksteed Avenue will be changed, to avoid a left turn at a railway crossing. All 88 (St Clair Station-Thorncliffe via Wicksteed) buses will operate east on McRae Drive, north on Laird Drive, east on Vanderhoof Avenue, south on Leslie Street, east on Wicksteed Avenue, and south on Beth Nealson Drive to route. There will be no change to the routing of westbound buses.

94 Wellesley

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced during the morning peak period, so that the resources can be reallocated to other TTC routes. The combined service east of Wellesley Station will change from every 5 minutes 30 seconds to every 6 minutes. Service west of Wellesley Station will change from every 11 minutes to every 12 minutes.

112 West Mall

Service increase

  • An additional trip will be added in the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding which occurs after Michael Power/St. Joseph's High School is dismissed. The trip will depart at 2:55 p.m. southbound from Eringate & Wellesworth, and will travel to Kipling Station, serving all stops.

Holiday Service

Good Friday, Friday, March 25, 2005

  • On Good Friday, March 25, 2005, all TTC routes will operate on their Sunday service schedules, but will start earlier, at approximately 6:00am. Any routes that do not normally operate on Sundays, will not operate on the holiday.
