Service Increase 

  • The TTC has added subway trains to reduce crowding on the Bloor-Danforth (BD) line. During the morning and afternoon rush hours, two additional trains will operate, with a total capacity of 2400. Rush hour trains are about 2 minutes apart.

  • At all other times, up to three additional trains will operate, with a total capacity of up to 3600; the wait time between trains will be less than five minutes.

  • An equal number of trains was added to the Yonge-University-Spadina line in February, as previously announced.

Service change

  • Service will be reduced in the midday and afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday. During the midday, one bus will be removed, and the trip time will increase from 13 min to 17 min. During the afternoon peak period, one bus will be removed, and the trip time will increase from 12 min to 16 min.

Temporary route change

  • Buses will replace streetcar service on this route in March and April, because of track construction for the new Queens Quay Streetcar Connection at the Bathurst/Fleet/Lake Shore intersection. The buses will operate over the regular route, but will diverted for part of the board period when the roadway is closed.

  • Service will be reduced after 10:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. The time between buses will be 24 minutes, instead of 20 minutes.

Route change

  • Service will be changed in the early evening from Monday to Friday to eliminate the 41A (Keele Station-Sheppard) short turn branch. All buses will now operate to York University.  The time between buses south of Sheppard will increase to 15 minutes from 12 minutes and 30 seconds.

  • Later service will be provided from the Toronto Zoo in the early evening, seven days a week, to match the later closing time of the zoo, at 6:00 p.m. From Monday to Friday, the last trip on the 86A Scarborough (Kennedy Station-Toronto Zoo) branch will leave from the zoo at approximately 7:00 p.m. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, the last trip on the 85B Sheppard East (Sheppard Station-Toronto Zoo) and 85D Sheppard East (Sheppard Station-Rouge Hill GO Station via Toronto Zoo) branches will leave from the zoo at approximately 7:00 p.m.

  • Service will increase in the morning peak period, to reduce crowding. Buses on the 84 (Sheppard Station – Weston Rd) branch will run every 10 minutes, 30 seconds, instead of every 12 minutes. Buses on each of the 84A (Sheppard Station-Steeles via Arrow) and 84D (Sheppard Station-Steele via Oakdale) branches will run every 21 minutes, instead of every 24 minutes.

  • Service will be reduced after 10:00 p.m., from Monday to Friday. The time between buses will be 22 minutes, instead of 20 minutes.

Revised route

  • This overnight route will be extended west and south to Jane Station, and will be served by buses instead of streetcars, from approximately 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. This change will provide new overnight service for customers travelling on St. Clair Avenue, west of Keele Street, and on Jane Street, south of St. Clair.

  • Service will be reduced after 10 p.m., from Monday to Friday. The time between buses will be 24 minutes, instead of 20 minutes.

  • Service will be increased in the morning peak period to reduce crowding, by adding two buses. The time between buses will remain at approximately every 9 minutes on each of the 95A (Victoria Park-York Mills Stn), 95E (Rouge Hill GO Stn-York Mills Stn Express), and 95F (Kingston Rd-York Mills Stn) bus service but the times of some trips will be changed by a few minutes.

  • Three additional trips will be added, eastbound from York Mills Station to Victoria Park Avenue, between 2:30 and 3:00 p.m., to reduce crowding at this time of day.

  • After approximately 11:00 p.m., seven days a week, the scheduled travel time on the route will be reduced, which will give all customers a faster trip to their destinations.
