Bloor-Danforth Subway

Service Increase
has added subway trains to reduce crowding on the
Bloor-Danforth (BD) line. During the morning and afternoon rush hours,
two additional trains will operate, with a total capacity of 2400. Rush
hour trains are about 2 minutes apart.
At all other times, up to three additional trains will operate, with
a total capacity of up to 3600; the wait time between trains will be
less than five minutes.
An equal number of trains was added to the Yonge-University-Spadina
line in February, as previously announced.

trip time will increase from 13 min to 17 min. During the afternoon peak
period, one bus will be removed, and the trip time will increase from 12

will replace streetcar service on this route in March and
April, because of track construction for the new Queens Quay Streetcar
Connection at the Bathurst/Fleet/Lake Shore intersection. The buses will
operate over the regular route, but will diverted for part of the board
period when the roadway is closed.

Station to Victoria Park Avenue, between 2:30 and 3:00 p.m., to reduce
crowding at this time of day.

After approximately 11:00 p.m., seven days a week, the scheduled
travel time on the route will be reduced, which will give all customers
a faster trip to their destinations.
