  • The present westbound/southbound 43B (Scarborough Centre via Progress) branch routing will be changed, so that buses leave Scarborough Centre Station via Triton Road and Borough Drive instead of via Triton Road and Brimley Road. This routing change allows a more reliable service to be operated, and will make the routing consistent with 190 SCARBOROUGH CENTRE ROCKET buses, which follow the same route.

102 Markham Rd

Service Increase - Effective Monday, March 29, 2004

  • Two eastbound/northbound trips will be added in the afternoon from Monday to Friday between Warden Station and Sheppard Avenue to reduce crowding as students are dismissed from the three secondary schools served by the route. The new trips will depart Warden Station at 3:33 and 3:40 p.m.

  • The last westbound/southbound 70B O’CONNOR (Coxwell Station-Eglinton Square) trip departing from Victoria Park Avenue and O’Connor Drive at 2:15 a.m. will be removed, seven days a week, due to low ridership.

  • All buses on the 85 SHEPPARD EAST route will be scheduled to operate with accessible lift-equipped buses. New accessible service will be provided on the 85 SHEPPARD EAST route east of Toronto Zoo to Rouge Hill GO Station (previously, accessible service was only offered between Sheppard-Yonge Station and Toronto Zoo). There will be no change to trip times or service levels.

  • A regular holiday service will be scheduled on Good Friday, April 9, 2004. Eglinton Station

  • The new bus terminal is located inside the former TTC Eglinton Garage, south of the original bus terminal, and is part of the fare-paid subway station. All bus routes will operate from the new terminal, and the original terminal will be fenced off and closed.

  • The automatic station entrance at Duplex Avenue will also be closed. Customer access to the new bus terminal is from a new covered walkway running south from the existing station mezzanine level, from the southernmost stairway on the subway platform, or from the automatic station entrance on the west side of Yonge Street, south of Eglinton Avenue.

  • The station will become accessible, with a new accessible elevator from the Yonge Street south entrance to the subway platform, in September 2004.
