Airport Rocket
Service
to new Terminal 1 - Effective
April, 2004

The
192 AIRPORT ROCKET route will be extended to serve the new Terminal
1 at
Pearson Airport. The route change will be made when the terminal
opens, which is tentatively scheduled to be in early April, 2004.
There will be no change to service levels, or to departure times
from Kipling Station.

Buses
will serve the Departures level of the new Terminal 1, the Arrivals
level of Terminal 2, and the Departures level of Terminal 3. Service
to the Departures level of the new Terminal 1 is temporary, and will
later move to the ground level, when terminal construction is
complete.

branch routing
will be changed, so that buses leave Scarborough Centre Station via
Triton Road and Borough Drive instead of via Triton Road and Brimley
Road. This routing change allows a more reliable service to be
operated, and will make the routing consistent with 190 SCARBOROUGH
CENTRE ROCKET buses, which follow the same route.

Accessible
service increase

All
buses on the 85 SHEPPARD EAST route will be scheduled to operate
with accessible lift-equipped buses. New accessible service will be
provided on the 85 SHEPPARD EAST route east of Toronto Zoo to Rouge
Hill GO Station (previously, accessible service was only offered
between Sheppard-Yonge Station and Toronto Zoo). There will be no
change to trip times or service levels.

new westbound trip on the 95 YORK MILLS route will be added,
departing from Kingston Road and Ellesmere Road at 5:05 a.m., from
Monday to Friday. The departure times of the other westbound 95 YORK
MILLS buses from Kingston Road will be adjusted to provide
evenly-spaced departure times before 6:00 a.m.

The
southbound/westbound 321 YORK MILLS trip departing from Finch Avenue
and Neilson Road at 5:20 a.m. from Monday to Friday will be
eliminated. This trip is largely duplicated by a trip on the 133
NEILSON and 95 YORK MILLS routes.

regular holiday service will be scheduled on Good Friday, April 9,
2004. This means that routes which operate on Sundays in April
will operate on Good Friday at the same levels of
service as on
Sundays, but service will start earlier in the morning, at about the
same time as on Saturdays. Subway starts at 6:00 a.m.

Eglinton
Station
New
Bus Terminal -
Effective
Sunday, April 4, 2004
-
A
new bus terminal at Eglinton Station will come into use on Sunday,
April 4, 2004, replacing the original bus terminal, which
opened along with the Yonge Subway on March 30, 1954.
-
The
new bus terminal is located inside the former TTC Eglinton
Garage, south of the original bus terminal, and is part of the
fare-paid subway station. All bus routes will operate from the new
terminal, and the original terminal will be fenced off and closed.
-
The
automatic station entrance at Duplex Avenue will also be closed.
Customer access to the new bus terminal is from a new covered
walkway running south from the existing station mezzanine level,
from the southernmost stairway on the subway platform, or from the
automatic station entrance on the west side of Yonge Street, south
of Eglinton Avenue.

The
station will become accessible, with a new accessible elevator from
the Yonge Street south entrance to the subway platform, in September
2004.
