142 DOWNTOWN / AVENUE RD EXPRESS

Service change - Effective March 30, 2009

  • The afternoon trip that starts westbound on Richmond Street at Church Street at 5:00 p.m. will begin earlier, and will serve Adelaide Street before serving Richmond Street. The trip will start at 4:51 p.m. at Simcoe Street, and will operate east on Adelaide Street and north on Church Street. There will be no change to the 5:00 p.m. departure time at Richmond and Church, or to trip times elsewhere on Richmond Street, University Avenue, or Avenue Road.

39 FINCH EAST

New express stop - Effective March 30, 2009

  • All 39 FINCH EAST express buses will serve the stops westbound at Wayside Drive and eastbound at Adirondack Gate.

65 PARLIAMENT

Service change - Effective April 4, 2009

  • The early Saturday morning service on the 65A PARLIAMENT (Castle Frank Station-Union Station via Esplanade) branch will be discontinued, as service on the Esplanade is now provided by the 72A PAPE (Pape Station-Union Station) branch at all times of the week. Service will be operated on the 65 PARLIAMENT (Castle Frank Station-Esplanade) branch. There will be changes to Saturday early morning trip times between Castle Frank Station and the Esplanade.

67 PHARMACY

Service reliability improvement - Effective March 29, 2009

  • Additional time will be added to the schedules, at most times of the week, in order to operate a more-reliable service.

  • During the morning peak period from Monday to Friday, the combined service south of Eglinton Avenue will change from every 7 minutes 30 seconds to every 8 minutes 30 seconds, and the service north of Eglinton Avenue will change from every 15 minutes to every 17 minutes. During the midday from Monday to Friday, the service will change from every 15 minutes to every 17 minutes. During the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, the service will change from every 10 minutes to every 12 minutes. During the early evening from Monday to Friday, the service will change from every 15 minutes to every 17 minutes.

  • During the afternoon on Saturdays the service will change from every 22 minutes 30 seconds to every 30 minutes. During the afternoon on Sundays and holidays the service will change from every 20 minutes to every 25 minutes.

161 ROGERS RD

Service increase - Effective March 30, 2009

  • A new later northbound/westbound trip will be added, Monday to Friday, departing from Ossington Station at 1:40 a.m.

24 VICTORIA PARK

Route change - Effective March 29, 2009

  • The Sunday-only looping via Gordon Baker Drive, Pharmacy Avenue, and Steeles Avenue will be eliminated, as service is now provided on Sundays on Pharmacy Avenue on the 167 PHARMACY NORTH route. Buses on the 24 VICTORIA PARK route will operate to and from the off-street loop on Victoria Park Avenue at Steeles Avenue, in both directions. There will be no change to service levels or trip times.

  • With this change, the routing of the 24 VICTORIA PARK (Victoria Park Station-Steeles) branch will be the same all day, every day.

Routing details

24 Northbound: From Victoria Park Station, north on Victoria Park Avenue to off-street loop north of Steeles Avenue (east side).

 

24 Southbound: From Steeles Avenue, south on Victoria Park Avenue to Victoria Park Station.
