Temporary route
change
-
A project to rebuild the track at several locations along Dundas Street will
require that streetcars be removed from the 505 Dundas and 506/306
Carlton
routes on Saturdays and Sundays from April 30 to June 10. The entire 505 Dundas
route will operate with buses, from Broadview Station to Dundas West
Station, and will be scheduled to operate over the usual route. Service will
be made more frequent, because the buses have a smaller capacity than the
streetcars.
-
The 506 Carlton route will be affected by the construction on one weekend,
and the 306 Carlton overnight route will be affected on two weekends.
When necessary, streetcars on these routes will be turned back east from

The north-end loop used by this route will be temporarily changed, as a
result of the City of Toronto project to rebuild the bridge which runs
through the intersection of Jane Street and Steeles Avenue. Both roads will
remain open, but will be restricted to not more than two lanes at most
times. This project will begin in late April, and will last until October.
The route changes described below will last until mid-October. The routing

running time will be scheduled on 60 Steeles

The 35 (Jane Stn-Steeles via Pioneer Village) branch will continue to

Saturday.
-
The 35A (Jane Stn-Steeles via Hullmar) branch will be changed to avoid the
Jane/Steeles intersection, and will instead operate over a large on-street
loop using York Gate Boulevard, Hullmar Drive, and Jane Street. To reduce

in the morning peak period, and clockwise in the afternoon peak period.
Buses on this branch will not operate on Peter Kaiser Boulevard, Steeles, or
on Jane between Steeles and Hullmar.
-
The 35C (Jane Stn-Steeles) branch will continue to operate over the present
route. To reduce the effects of traffic delays, additional running time and
buses will be added during the morning peak period, midday, and afternoon
peak period from Monday to Friday, and during the daytime on Saturday.
