117 Alness

Service change - Effective Monday, May 8, 2006

  • Service will be changed during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, so that trips on the 117 ALNESS and 105 DUFFERIN NORTH routes are evenly spaced. The service on the 117 ALNESS route will change from every 12 minutes to every 13 minutes, and a combined 6 minutes 30 seconds service will be operated between Downsview Station and Martin Ross Avenue on the 105 DUFFERIN NORTH and 117 ALNESS routes.

6 Bay

Seasonal service change - Effective Sunday, May 7, 2006

  • Service will be operated during the early evening on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays in the summer. The last northbound trip will leave Queens Quay at 10:36 p.m. Buses will operate every 17 minutes, and departure times will be the same as from Monday to Friday. The last day of the additional service will be Labour Day, Monday, September 4, 2006.

11 Bayview , 28 Davisville

Service increase - Effective Monday, May 8, 2006

  • Service will be increased during the morning peak period and midday from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. During the morning peak period, the service on Bayview Avenue will be improved from every 14 minutes to every 12 minutes, and the combined service (with 28 DAVISVILLE) on Davisville Avenue will be improved from every 7 minutes to every 6 minutes. During the midday from Monday to Friday, the service will be improved from every 13 minutes to every 12 minutes.

172 Cherry Street

Seasonal service change - Effective Sunday, May 7, 2006

  • The route will be extended from Commissioners Street to Cherry Beach (Clarke Beach Park) during the daytime on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Buses will operate every 20 minutes on Saturdays and every 30 minutes on Sundays and holidays.

108 Downsview , 36 Finch West and 106 York University

Schedule change - Effective Monday, May 8, 2006

  • All remaining additional time that was added to the schedules to compensate for congestion resulting from the Finch Avenue closure will be removed. Service levels during the peak periods and midday from Monday to Friday will change slightly, and trip times at specific stops along the route will change.

143 Downtown/Beach Express 

Service increase - Effective Monday, May 8, 2006

  • A later trip will be operated in the morning peak period, departing from Neville Park Loop at 8:45 a.m.

29 Dufferin

Seasonal service change - Effective Sunday, May 7, 2006

  • The route will be extended into Exhibition Place, to provide service closer to Ontario Place. This service will operate after approximately 9:00 a.m., seven days a week, except for when major events are being held on the Exhibition grounds. There will be minor changes to service levels. The extended service will end in mid-August 2006, when the Exhibition Place grounds close for the CNE. See PDF for Routing Details and Map.

105 Dufferin North

Service increase - Effective Monday, May 8, 2006

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The service on the 105 DUFFERIN NORTH route will be improved from every 16 minutes to every 13 minutes, and a combined 6 minutes 30 seconds service will be operated between Downsview Station and Martin Ross Avenue on the 105 DUFFERIN NORTH and 117 ALNESS routes.

111 East Mall

Service increase - Effective Saturday, May 13, 2006

  • Service will be increased on  Saturdays, to reduce crowding. Between approximately 10:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., the service will be improved from every 15 minutes to every 12 minutes.

34 Eglinton East

Service increase - Effective Sunday, May 7, 2006

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon on Sundays and holidays, to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 15 minutes to every 9 minutes 30 seconds.


33 Forest Hill

Routing change - Effective Monday, May 8, 2006

  • The trial operation of a revised routing via Old Forest Hill Road will end, and buses will return to the previous routing via Elderwood Drive. Buses will operate north on Spadina Road, west on Elderwood Drive, north on Vesta Drive, east on Eglinton Avenue, and south on Spadina Road. Service will be removed from Old Forest Hill Road. 31 Greenwood

Service increase - Effective Monday, May 8, 2006

  • A new earlier northbound trip will be operated from Monday to Friday on the 31B (Greenwood Station-Eastern) branch. The new trip will depart from Eastern Avenue at 5:30 a.m. and will arrive at Greenwood Station at 5:45 a.m.

509 Harbourfront

Seasonal service increase - Effective Sunday, May 7, 2006

  • Late evening service will be operated, seven days a week, because ridership increases along Harbourfront in the summer. Late evening service from Monday to Friday will operate every 20 minutes. Late evening service on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays will operate every 10 minutes.

Summer weekend fare collection at Union Station

  • On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from May to Labour Day a modified fare collection procedure at Harbourfront will be used, in order to speed boarding at busy stops at busy times. Customers who board streetcars at the eastbound stops on Queens Quay at Bathurst Street, Portland Street, Spadina Avenue, Rees Street, Simcoe Street, and York Street, and at the northbound platform at Queens Quay Station, will enter the streetcars through any door and will not pay a fare or be issued a transfer. Customers boarding streetcars at these stops will pay their fares instead when leaving the streetcar loop at Union Station. Normal pay-as-you-enter fare collection and transfer-issuing procedures will be used at all other stops on the 509 HARBOURFRONT and the 510 SPADINA routes. From Monday to Friday during the summer, and seven days a week after Labour Day, normal pay-as-you-enter fare collection will apply at all stops.

191 Highway 27 Rocket

Seasonal service reduction - Effective Monday, May 8, 2006

  • Several trips on the 191A Highway 27 Rocket (Humber College-Kipling Station) branch will be removed for the summer, as ridership declines due to a reduction in the number of students travelling to and from Humber College.

Service increase

  • Two new earlier trips will be added on Saturdays, departing from Steeles Avenue at 6:00 and 6:30 a.m., and departing from Kipling Station at 6:30 and 7:00 a.m.

43 Kennedy

Service increase - Effective Monday, May 8, 2006

  • Service will be increased in the afternoon peak period, from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The combined service south of Progress Avenue will be improved from every 7 minutes to every 6 minutes, and the service on each of the 43 (Kennedy Station-Steeles) and 43B (Kennedy Station-Scarborough Centre via Progress) branches will change from every 14 minutes to every 12 minutes.

504 King

Service increase - Effective Monday, May 8, 2006

  • Service will be increased during the midday from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 5 minutes 15 seconds to every 4 minutes 45 seconds.

44 Kipling South

Seasonal service reduction - Effective Monday, May 8, 2006

  • Service will be reduced during the morning and afternoon peak periods from Monday to Friday, as ridership declines due to a reduction in the number of students travelling to and from Humber College, Lakeshore Campus. During the morning peak period the service will change from every 5 minutes to every 6 minutes. During the afternoon peak period the service will change from every 5 minutes to every 7 minutes 30 seconds.

54 Lawrence East

Service increase - Effective Monday, May 8, 2006

  • Service will be increased from approximately 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The combined service west of Orton Park Road will be improved from every 8 minutes to every 6 minutes.

16 McCowan

Service reliability improvement - Effective Sunday, May 7, 2006

  • Additional time will be added to the schedules at various times of the week, to improve the reliability of the service. There will be no change to service levels, but trip times at stops along the route will change.

Service increase

  • Service will be increased on Sundays and holidays, between approximately 11:45 a.m. and 7:15 p.m., to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 17 minutes to every 12 minutes 30 seconds.

70 O'Connor

  • Additional time will be added to the schedules at various times of the week, to improve the reliability of the service. There will be no change to service levels, but trip times at stops along the route will change.

63 Ossington

Service increase - Effective Monday, May 8, 2006

  • Service will be increased during the midday from Monday to Friday and the afternoon on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. During the midday from Monday to Friday, the service will be improved from every 8 minutes to every 7 minutes 15 seconds. During the afternoon on Saturdays, the service will be improved from every 8 minutes 40 seconds to every 7 minutes 45 seconds. During the afternoon on Sundays and holidays, the service will be improved from every 10 minutes to every 8 minutes 45 seconds.

134 Progress

Seasonal service reduction - Effective Monday, May 8, 2006

  • Service will be reduced during the morning peak period from Monday to Friday on the 134C (Scarborough Centre Station -Centennial College) branch, as ridership declines due to a reduction in the number of students travelling to Centennial College. The service on the 134C branch will change from every 5 minutes to every 8 minutes.

80 Queensway

Temporary service for Queensway road reconstruction - Effective Monday, May 8, 2006

  • Additional time will be added to the schedules from Monday to Saturday, to reduce expected delays during the City of Toronto's project to reconstruct The Queensway. Service during the peak periods will operate every 25 minutes and service at off-peak times will operate every 30 minutes. There will be no change to the schedules during the late evening from Monday to Friday, or on Sundays and holidays.

86 Scarborough

Seasonal route extension to Toronto Zoo - Effective Sunday, May 7, 2006

  • The route will be extended to the Toronto Zoo on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Buses will follow the same routing to the zoo as they do from Monday to Friday. Service levels will not change. The last day of summer weekend and holiday service to the zoo will be Labour Day, Monday, September 4, 2006.

  • Later service will be provided from the Toronto Zoo in the early evening from Monday to Friday, beginning on Saturday, May 20, 2006. The last trip will leave from the zoo at approximately 8:30 p.m.

190 Scarborough Centre Rocket

  • Service will be increased in the afternoon peak period, from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 8 minutes 30 seconds to every 7 minutes 30 seconds.

85 Sheppard East

Later service to Toronto Zoo - Effective Saturday, May 20, 2006

  • Later service will be provided from the Toronto Zoo in the early evening on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, beginning on Saturday, May 20, 2006. The last trips to Don Mills Station and Sheppard-Yonge Station will leave from the zoo at approximately 8:30 p.m., and the last trip to Rouge Hill GO Station will leave from the zoo at approximately 8:00 p.m.

123 Shorncliffe

Service increase - Effective Monday, May 8, 2006

  • Service will be increased between 2:30 and 3:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding at the beginning of the afternoon peak period. Service between Sherway and Kipling Station at these times will be increased from every 12 minutes to every 9 minutes.

510 Spadina

The service on the 60C branch to York University will change from every 6 minutes to every 12 minutes.

  • Later northbound/westbound trips will be added seven days a week, to provide a connection with the last subway train arriving northbound at Finch Station at approximately 2:10 a.m.

165 Weston Rd North

Seasonal service reduction - Effective Sunday, May 7, 2006

  • At the request of York Region Transit, service will be extended to Canada's Wonderland, on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, from Sunday, May 7 to Sunday, October 8, 2006. Buses to the park will operate every 30 minutes during the daytime on Saturdays, approximately every 50 minutes during the evening on Saturdays, and every 40 to 48 minutes on Sundays and holidays. Trip times in Toronto will not change. Customers travelling on 165 Weston Rd North buses north of Steeles Avenue are required to pay a valid York Region Transit fare.

96 Wilson

Service increase - Effective Monday, May 8, 2006

  • Service will be increased during the midday from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The combined service on both the 96 WILSON and 165 WESTON RD NORTH routes between York Mills Station and Weston Road will be improved from every 6 minutes to every 5 minutes. Service west of Weston Road on the 96 WILSON route will change from every 12 minutes to every 10 minutes. Service on Weston Road south of Steeles Avenue on the 165 WESTON RD NORTH route will change from every 12 minutes to every 10 minutes.

196 York University Rocket

Seasonal service reduction - Effective Monday, May 8, 2006

  • Service will be reduced during the daytime from Monday to Friday, as ridership declines due to a reduction in the number of students travelling to and from York University.

  • Before approximately 7:30 a.m., buses will operate every 8 minutes 40 seconds. From approximately 7:30 to 10:30 a.m., buses will operate every 6 minutes.

  • During the midday, buses will operate every 7 minutes, during the afternoon peak period buses will operate every 6 minutes, and during the early evening buses will operate every 8 minutes 40 seconds.

Holiday Service

Victoria Day, Monday, May 22, 2006

  • A regular holiday service will be scheduled on Victoria Day, May 22, 2006. This means that routes which operate on Sundays in May will operate at the same levels of service as on Sundays, but service will start earlier in the morning, at about the same time as on Saturdays.
