6 Bay

Seasonal service increase - Effective Sunday, May 13, 2007

  • Service will be operated during the early evening on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays in the summer. The last northbound trip will leave Queens Quay at 10:36 p.m. Buses will operate every 17 minutes, and departure times will be the same as from Monday to Friday. The last day of the additional service will be Labour Day, Monday, September 3, 2007.

29 Dufferin

Route change - Effective Sunday, May 13, 2007

  • Two route extensions will be made at the south end of the route. The first will be the usual seasonal extension into Exhibition Place, to provide service closer to Ontario Place. Buses on the “29B To Exhibition and Ontario Place” branch will operate after 9:00 a.m. every day, around a counter-clockwise on-street loop around BMO Field. Buses will operate via Dufferin Street, Saskatchewan Road, Princes' Boulevard, Ontario Drive, Princes' Boulevard, Nunavut Road, Nova Scotia Avenue, Manitoba Drive, Saskatchewan Road, and Dufferin Street. This service will operate from May 13 until the Exhibition Place grounds close for the Canadian National Exhibition, in mid-August.

  • The second extension will be a new trial year-round extension to Exhibition Loop. Buses on the “29D To Exhibition (Princes' Gates)” branch will operate at all times on a two-way routing along the north side of Exhibition Place, past Exhibition Loop, to a cul-de-sac near the Princes' Gates. Service levels will change slightly.

38 Highland Creek

Seasonal service reduction - Effective Monday, May 14, 2007

  • Service will be reduced slightly during the morning and afternoon peak periods and midday from Monday to Friday, as ridership declines due to a reduction in the number of students traveling to and from Centennial College, Ellesmere Campus, and U of T Scarborough. During the morning peak period, the service will change from every 9 minutes 30 seconds to every 11 minutes. During the afternoon peak period, the service will change from every 10 minutes to every 12 minutes. During the midday, the service will change from every 7 minutes 30 seconds to every 10 minutes.

44 Kipling South

Seasonal service reduction - Effective Monday, May 14, 2007

  • Service will be reduced during the morning and afternoon peak periods from Monday to Friday, as ridership declines due to a reduction in the number of students travelling to and from Humber College, Lakeshore Campus. During the morning peak period the service will change from every 4 minutes 30 seconds to every 6 minutes. During the afternoon peak period the service will change from every 4 minutes 30 seconds to every 5 minutes 15 seconds.

60 Steeles West

Seasonal service reduction - Effective Monday, May 14, 2007

  • Service will be reduced during the midday from Monday to Friday, on the 60C (Finch Station-York University) branch, as ridership declines due to a reduction in the number of students travelling to York University. The service on the 60C branch to York University will change from every 6 minutes to every 12 minutes.

85 Sheppard East

Later service to Toronto Zoo - Effective Saturday, May 19, 2007

  • Later service will be provided from the Toronto Zoo in the early evening on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, beginning on Saturday, Saturday, May 19, 2007. The last trips to Don Mills Station and Rouge Hill GO Station will leave from the zoo at approximately 8:30 p.m.

86 Scarborough

Seasonal route extension to Toronto Zoo - Effective Sunday, May 13, 2007

  • The route will be extended to the Toronto Zoo on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Buses will follow the same routing to the zoo as they do from Monday to Friday. Service levels will not change. The last day of summer weekend and holiday service to the zoo will be Labour Day, Monday, September 3, 2007.

Later service to Toronto Zoo

  • Later service will be provided from the Toronto Zoo in the early evening from Monday to Friday, beginning on Monday, May 14, 2007. The last trip will leave from the zoo at approximately 8:30 p.m.

92 Woodbine South

Seasonal service increase - Effective Sunday, May 13, 2007

  • Late evening service will be operated on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, to accommodate increased summer ridership to and from the lake shore. Service will operate every 20 minutes. Last trip times will be the same as from Monday to Friday.

95 York Mills

Service adjustments - Effective Sunday, May 13, 2007

  • Additional time will be added to the schedules to reduce delays from a major City of Toronto road reconstruction project. There will be no change to service levels, but trip times at specific stops will change.

124 Sunnybrook

Seasonal service reduction - Effective Monday, May 14, 2007

  • Service will be reduced during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, as ridership declines due to a reduction in the number of students travelling to and from York University, Glendon Campus. The service will change from every 7 minutes 30 seconds to every 10 minutes.

134 Progress

Seasonal service reduction - Effective Monday, May 14, 2007

  • Service will be reduced during the morning peak period from Monday to Friday on the 134C (Scarborough Centre Station-Centennial College) branch, as ridership declines due to a reduction in the number of students travelling to Centennial College. The service on the 134C branch will change from every 5 minutes to every 8 minutes.

165 Weston Road North

Seasonal route extension - Effective Sunday, May 6, 2007

  • At the request of York Region Transit, service will be extended to Canada's Wonderland, on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, from Sunday, May 6 to Sunday, October 7, 2007.

  • Buses to the park will operate every 24 minutes during the daytime on Saturdays, and every 32 to 40 minutes on Sundays and holidays. Trip times in Toronto will not change.

  • Customers travelling on 165 WESTON RD NORTH buses north of Steeles Avenue are required to pay a valid York Region Transit fare.

172 Cherry Street

Seasonal service increase - Effective Sunday, May 14, 2007

  • Evening service will operate on the 172A (Union Station-Commissioners via Mill Street) branch from Monday to Friday in the summer, and the route will be extended from Commissioners Street to Cherry Beach (Clarke Beach Park) during the daytime and evening on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Buses will operate every 30 minutes during the evening from Monday to Friday, every 20 minutes on Saturdays, and every 30 minutes on Sundays and holidays.

191 Highway 27 Rocket

Seasonal service reduction - Effective Monday, May 14, 2007

  • Several trips on the 191A HIGHWAY 27 ROCKET (Humber College-Kipling Station) branch will be removed for the summer, as ridership declines due to a reduction in the number of students travelling to and from Humber College.

These trips will be cancelled:
Northbound trips from Kipling Station at 8:50, 9:10, 9:30, 9:50, 10:10, and 10:30 a.m.
Southbound trips from Humber College at 9:29, 9:49, 10:09, and 10:29 a.m.

192 Airport Rocket

Service change - Effective Monday, May 13, 2007

  • Minor changes will be made to the schedules throughout the week, to operate a more-reliable service. There will be no change to service levels, but trip times at specific stops will change.

196 York University Rocket

Seasonal service reduction - Effective Monday, May 14, 2007

  • Service will be reduced during the daytime from Monday to Friday, as ridership declines due to a reduction in the number of students travelling to and from York University.

  • From approximately 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., buses will operate every 4 minutes. During the midday, buses will operate every 6 minutes, during the afternoon peak period buses will operate every 4 minutes 30 seconds, and during the early evening buses will operate every 8 minutes 40 seconds.

503 Kingston Rd

Service increase - Effective Monday, May 14, 2007

  • A new earlier round trip will be added from Monday to Friday. The new trip will depart westbound from Bingham Loop at 6:27 a.m. and will depart eastbound from York Street and Wellington Street at 7:03 a.m.

509 Harbourfront

Service increase - Effective Sunday, May 13, 2007

  • Late evening service will be operated, seven days a week, because ridership increases along Harbourfront in the summer. Late evening service from Monday to Friday will operate every 20 minutes. Late evening service on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays will operate every 10 minutes.

Seasonal service increase - Effective Sunday, May 13, 2007

  • Service will be increased on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, because of seasonal ridership increases along Harbourfront in the summer. Streetcars will run every 10 minutes at all times on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Summer weekend fare collection procedure at Union Station - Effective Sunday, May 13, 2007

509 Harbourfront and 510 Spadina and 511 Bathurst

  • On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from May to Labour Day a modified fare collection procedure at Harbourfront will be used, in order to speed boarding at busy stops at busy times.

  • Customers who board streetcars at the eastbound stops on Queens Quay at Bathurst Street, Portland Street, Spadina Avenue, Rees Street, Simcoe Street, and York Street, and at the northbound platform at Queens Quay Station, will enter the streetcars through any door and will not pay a fare or be issued a transfer. Customers boarding streetcars at these stops will pay their fares instead when leaving the streetcar loop at Union Station.

  • Normal pay-as-you-enter fare collection and transfer-issuing procedures will be used at all other stops on the 509 HARBOURFRONT and the 510 SPADINA routes. From Monday to Friday during the summer, and seven days a week after Labour Day, normal pay-as-you-enter fare collection will apply at all stops.

  • This will apply to the 511 BATHURST streetcars while the diversion to Union Station continues.

Holiday Service

Victoria Day, Monday, May 21, 2007
A regular holiday service will be scheduled on Victoria Day, May 21, 2007. This means that routes which operate on Sundays in May will operate at the same levels of service as on Sundays, but service will start earlier in the morning, at about the same time as on Saturdays.
