Seasonal service increase - Effective May 11, 2009 

• Service will be increased during the mornings, to accommodate increased seasonal travel to and from Pearson Airport. In the morning peak period from Monday to Friday the service will be improved from every 15 minutes to every 12 minutes. In the morning on Saturdays, the service will be improved from every 12 minutes to every 9 minutes. In the morning on Sundays and holidays, the service will be improved from every 15 minutes to every 11 minutes.

511 BATHURST

Service increase - Effective May 10, 2009 

• An earlier northbound trip will be added from Monday to Friday, departing from Exhibition Loop at 5:20 a.m.

• Because of increased summer ridership on this route, service will be increased in the late evenings, from Monday to Saturday, and all day on Sunday and holiday. In the late evening from Monday to Friday, service will operate every 7 to 8 minutes. Throughout the day on Sundays and holidays the service will operate every 6 to 8 minutes.

300 BLOOR-DANFORTH

Schedule change - Ridership monitoring and service adjustment - Effective May 10, 2009 

• Two early morning eastbound trips at Pearson Airport will be changed to start at Terminal 3 so that they can serve all stops at the airport.

• Bus will begin service at 4:17 a.m. from Terminal 3, then travel to Terminal 1 for the existing 4:23 a.m. departure.

• Bus will begin service at 4:47 a.m. from Terminal 3, then travel to Terminal 1 for the existing 4:53 a.m. departure.

28 DAVISVILLE 

Seasonal route extension - Effective May 16, 2009 

• Summer Saturday daytime service will be operated between Davisville Station and the Don Valley Brick Works Park, on Bayview Avenue in the Don Valley. The 28A DAVISVILLE (Davisville Stn-Brick Works) service will operate every 30 minutes on Saturdays only, between 7:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m., using an accessible low-floor bus. Service will operate in both directions via Davisville Avenue and Bayview Avenue.

• The first day of this seasonal service will be Saturday, May 16, 2009, and the last day of service this year will be Saturday, October 17, 2009.

Seasonal route extension - Effective May 10, 2009 

• Summer seasonal service will be operated on the route extension to Ontario Place. Buses operating south of Dufferin Loop will alternate between the 29B “To Exhibition & Ontario Place” and 29D “To Exhibition (Princes’ Gates)” routings. Buses on the 29B routing will operate via Dufferin Street, Saskatchewan Road, Princes’ Boulevard, Ontario Drive, Princes’ Boulevard, Nunavut Road, Nova Scotia Avenue, Manitoba Drive, Saskatchewan Road, and Dufferin Street. At most times of the week the combined service north of Dufferin Loop will not change.

• The Ontario Place extension will operate after approximately 9:00 a.m., seven days a week, except for when major events are being held on the Exhibition grounds. This service will operate from May 10, 2009 until mid-August 2009.

509 HARBOURFRONT

Seasonal service increase - Effective May 10, 2009 

• Service will be increased in the late evening from Monday to Friday and all day on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, because of seasonal ridership increases along Harbourfront in the summer. The service will be improved to every 8 minutes to 12 minutes at all times of the week.

Heritage streetcar operation

• On Sundays from May 10 to September 6, 2009, a heritage Presidents Conference Committee (PCC) streetcar will be operated on the 509 HARBOURFRONT route, from approximately 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Regular fares apply. Operation of this heritage service is subject to availability.

Summer weekend fare collection at Union Station

• On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from May 10 to September 7, 2009, a modified fare collection procedure at Harbourfront will be used, in order to speed boarding at busy stops at busy times. The special summer fare collection procedure will include all of the eastbound streetcar stops on Queens Quay, between Bathurst Street and Queens Quay Station.

• Customers who board streetcars at the eastbound stops on Queens Quay at Bathurst Street, Dan Leckie Way, Spadina Avenue, Rees Street, Simcoe Street, and York Street, and at the northbound platform at Queens Quay Station, will enter the streetcars through any door and will not pay a fare or be issued a transfer. Customers boarding cars at these stops will pay their fares instead when leaving the streetcar loop at Union Station. Normal pay-as-you-enter fare collection and transfer-issuing procedures will be used at all other stops on the 509 HARBOURFRONT and the 510 SPADINA routes. All customers boarding eastbound cars at the Exhibition and at the stops on Fleet Street will be issued transfers, to be used as proof of payment if they travel to Union Station. This fare collection procedure will be used up to and including Labour Day. From Monday to Friday during the summer, and seven days a week after Labour Day, normal pay-as-you-enter fare collection will apply at all stops.

38 HIGHLAND CREEK 

Seasonal service reduction - Effective May 11, 2009 

• Service will be reduced during the midday and afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, as ridership declines due to a reduction in the number of students travelling to and from Centennial College, Ellesmere Campus, and U of T Scarborough. During the midday the combined service between Scarborough Centre Station and U of T Scarborough will change from every 5 minutes to every 7 minutes 30 seconds. Service east of U of T Scarborough will change from every 10 minutes to every 15 minutes. During the afternoon peak period the combined service between Scarborough Centre Station and U of T Scarborough will change from every 6 minutes to every 8 minutes. Service east of U of T Scarborough will change from every 12 minutes to every 16 minutes.

191 HIGHWAY 27 ROCKET 

Seasonal service reduction - Effective May 11, 2009 

• Several trips on the 191A HIGHWAY 27 ROCKET (Humber College-Kipling Stn) branch will be removed for the summer, as the classes at Humber College end in early May, and ridership will decline after then.

Temporary schedule change - City of Toronto construction - Effective May 10, 2009 

• Service will be changed due to the reconstruction by the City of Toronto of Islington Avenue between Bloor Street and Eglinton Avenue. Additional time will be added to the schedules at many times of the week to reduce delays from traffic congestion. Service levels will change slightly, and specific departure times will change at all stops on the route.

44 KIPLING SOUTH 

Seasonal service reduction - Effective May 11, 2009 

• Service will be reduced during the morning peak period, midday, and afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, as ridership declines due to a reduction in the number of students travelling to and from Humber College, Lakeshore Campus.

• During the morning peak period the service will change from every 4 minutes 30 seconds to every 6 minutes. During the midday the service will change from every 6 minutes to every 8 minutes. During the afternoon peak period the service will change from every 4 minutes 30 seconds to every 6 minutes.

72 PAPE 

Seasonal route extension - Effective May 10, 2009 

• The route will be extended from Commissioners Street to Cherry Beach (Clarke Beach Park) during the daytime and evenings on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Service will operate in both directions on the 72B PAPE (Pape Station-Union Stn via Commissioners and Cherry) branch.

• Service on the 72B PAPE branch will operate every 22 minutes 30 seconds to 30 minutes. There will be no change to service on the main part of the route, on Pape Avenue, except during the late evening on Sundays and holidays, when the service will change from every 12 minutes to every 15 minutes. There will be no change to service from Monday to Friday.

Service improvement - Effective May 11, 2009 

• Early morning service from Monday to Friday will be extended from Humberline to Claireport Crescent. With this change, the 73 (Royal York Station-Humberline via Albion Rd) branch will be eliminated, and all trips previously operated to Humberline will operate to and from Claireport Crescent on the 73C (Royal York Station-Claireport via Albion Rd) branch.

• The route will be extended to the Toronto Zoo on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, beginning on Saturday, May 16, 2009. Buses will follow the same routing to the zoo as they do from Monday to Friday. The last trip will leave from the zoo at approximately 8:30 p.m. The last day of summer weekend and holiday service to the zoo will be Labour Day, Monday, September 7, 2009. 

Later service to Toronto Zoo

• Later service will be scheduled from the Toronto Zoo in the early evening from Monday to Friday. Beginning on Saturday, May 16, 2009, the last trip will leave from the zoo at approximately 8:30 p.m.

85 SHEPPARD EAST  

Later service to Toronto Zoo - Effective May 16, 2009

• Later service will be provided from the Toronto Zoo in the early evening on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Beginning on Saturday, May 16, 2009, the last trips to Don Mills Station and Rouge Hill GO Station will leave from the zoo at approximately 8:30 p.m. The last day of the later service to the zoo will be Labour Day, Monday, September 7, 2009.

510 SPADINA

Seasonal service change - Effective May 10, 2009 

• The short turn service at King Street will be extended to the Queens Quay/Spadina Loop, on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, to accommodate increased springtime ridership to Harbourfront. The service levels will remain largely unchanged.

Service will be increased to every 10 minutes from every 20 minutes during the evenings, and from every 12 minutes to every 8 minutes in the mornings on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

165 WESTON RD NORTH 

Seasonal route extension - Effective May 3, 2009 

• At the request of York Region Transit, service will be extended to Canada's Wonderland, on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, from Sunday, May 3 to Sunday, November 1, 2009. Buses to the park will operate every 24 minutes during the daytime on Saturdays, and every 32 to 40 minutes on Sundays and holidays. Trip times in Toronto will not change. 

• Customers travelling on 165 WESTON RD NORTH buses north of Steeles Avenue are required to pay a valid York Region Transit fare.
