192 Airport Rocket

Seasonal service increase

  • Service will be increased for the summer, as ridership to and from the airport increases. Service during the morning and late evening will be improved from every 40 min to every 20 min. With this change, summer service will operate every 20 min all day, every day.

61 Avenue Rd North

Service reduction

  • The last three trips in the late evening on Sundays and holidays will be discontinued, because of low ridership.

Trip details

The last northbound trip will depart from Eglinton Stn at 12:00 midnight

The last southbound trip will depart from Roe Loop at 11:45 p.m.

511 Bathurst

Seasonal service increase

  • Service will be increased to accommodate increased summer travel to Exhibition Place and Ontario Place. From Monday to Friday, there will be no change to the schedule or trip times, but higher-capacity articulated streetcars (ALRVs) will be used in the midday and evening, in order to provide increased capacity.

  • On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, when ALRVs are already used, service will be increased during the evenings. The service will be improved from every 10 min to every 8 min 40 s.

23 Dawes

Seasonal service increase

  • Service will be increased during the daytime on Sundays. Buses will operate every 20 min, instead of every 15 min.

505 Dundas

Seasonal running time increase

  • Schedules will be adjusted to make the service more reliable and evenly-spaced during the midday and afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, when traffic congestion downtown causes delays. At busy times, streetcar drivers will be given longer to complete their trips. There will be no change to service levels.

509 Harbourfront

Seasonal service increase

  • Service will be increased during the midday, afternoon peak period, and evenings from Monday to Friday, and during the daytime and early evening on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, because ridership increases along Harbourfront in the summer. From Monday to Friday, the service will operate every 10 min until 7:00 p.m., and every 12 min after 7:00 p.m. On Saturdays, Sunday, and holidays, one car will be added between 11:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., and the service will operate every 8 min.

Earlier service – Seasonal service change

  • Service to Exhibition Place will start an hour earlier from Monday to Friday because of increased activities at Exhibition Place in the summer.

30 Lambton

Seasonal route extension

  • Service will be operated into High Park on the 30B Lambton (Kipling Station-High Park via High Park Stn) branch, on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, between 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. On Saturdays, the buses will operate every 20 min, and on Sundays, buses will operate every 30 min. The last day of service to High Park will be Labour Day, Monday, September 1, 2003.

  • From High Park Station (southbound platform), south on High Park Avenue, south on Colborne Lodge Drive, south and west on West Road, north on Colborne Lodge Drive, north on High Park Avenue to High Park Station (northbound/westbound platform).

47 Lansdowne

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced in the early morning on Sundays, before 8:00 a.m., because of low ridership. The service will change from every 12 min to every 20 min

64 Main

Seasonal service increase

  • Service will be increased during the daytime on Sundays and holidays, as travel increases to the Beach. The service will be improved from every 20 min to every 15 min.

65 Parliament

New seasonal service

  • New seasonal service will be operated during the daytime on Saturdays, between Castle Frank Station, Union Station, and the Distillery District, on Mill Street east of Parliament Street. The new 65D Parliament (Castle Frank Stn-Union Stn via Mill St) branch will replace the 65A Parliament branch, and will operate every 20 min. There will be no change to service on Sundays.

  • With this change, service from Union Station to Mill Street will be provided six days a week. Service from Monday to Friday is provided by the 72A Pape (Union Stn-Pape Stn) service.

  • The last day of service will be Saturday, August 30, 2003.

  • New summer Sunday and holiday service will be operated from Keele Station to the western beaches. Buses will run every 30 min on the 80 (Keele Stn-Sherway) branch, replacing the 22 min service operated west of Humber Loop on the 80B (Humber Loop-Sherway) branch. Service will operate from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The last day of service will be Labour Day, September 1, 2003.

194 Zoo Rocket

Seasonal service

  • New summer express service will be operated to the Toronto Zoo from Scarborough Centre Station. The new 194 Zoo Rocket route will operate every 20 min, every day, from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., departing from Scarborough Centre Station and from Toronto Zoo at :00, :20, and :40 past the hour. Lift-equipped buses will be used, and the route will be accessible. Buses will operate via Highway 401 and will stop only at Scarborough Centre Station, Meadowvale Road & Sheppard Avenue, and Toronto Zoo. The last day of service will be Labour Day, September 1, 2003.

Eastbound: From Scarborough Centre Station (169 Huntingwood bus bay), east on Triton Gate, north on McCowan Road, east on Highway 401, north on Meadowvale Road to Toronto Zoo. Buses stop only at Scarborough Centre Station, Meadowvale & Sheppard, and Toronto Zoo.

Westbound: From Toronto Zoo, south on Meadowvale Road, west on Highway 401, south on McCowan Road, west on Triton Gate to Scarborough Centre Station. Buses stop only at Toronto Zoo, Meadowvale & Sheppard, and Scarborough Centre Station.

Holiday Service

Canada Day is one of the busiest holidays of the year for transit ridership, and it falls on a Tuesday this year. Details for service on the holiday weekend are:

Saturday, June 28 - A regular Saturday service will be operated.

Sunday, June 29 - A regular Sunday service will be operated.

Monday, June 30 -A regular weekday service will be operated.

Tuesday, July 1 - Offices and schools will be closed on Tuesday, July 1, to observe Canada Day, but ridership on this day is expected to be at approximately the same level as on a regular summer Saturday. A regular Saturday service will be operated on most TTC routes (see below for exceptions).
