Schedule change - Effective Sunday, June 20, 2004

  • Departure times on the seasonal Saturday, Sunday, and holiday evening service will be changed to match the times from Monday to Friday. The service will be changed from every 20 minutes to every 17 minutes.

11 Bayview

Afternoon service removed on Hawksbury & Bayview Mews - Effective June 21, 2004

  • Service during the afternoon peak period on Hawksbury Drive and Bayview Mews Lane has been removed for the summer, from June 21 to September 3. During this time, service will continue to operate approximately every 16 minuntes in both directions on Bayview Avenue.

Saturday early evening service removed - Effective Saturday, June 26, 2004

  • Saturday early evening service will be removed, because of low ridership. The last day of Saturday early evening service will be Saturday, June 19, 2004.

Seasonal service increase - Effective Sunday, June 20, 2004

  • Service will be increased during the daytime on Sundays. Buses will operate every 15 minutes, instead of every 20 minutes.

15 Evans and 76 Royal York South

Temporary running time increase - Effective Sunday, June 20, 2004

  • Additional time will be added to the schedule of the 15 Evans and 76 Royal York South routes, in order to reduce delays expected from the City of Toronto's project to reconstruct Royal York Road, from Mimico Creek to the Gardiner Expressway. There will be minor changes to trip times and service levels.

509 Harbourfront

Seasonal service increase - Effective Sunday, June 20, 2004

  • Service will be increased during the midday, afternoon peak period, and evenings from Monday to Friday, and during the daytime and early evening on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, because ridership increases along Harbourfront in the summer. From Monday to Friday, the service will operate every 10 minutes until 7:00 p.m. and every 12 minutes after 7:00 p.m. On Saturdays, Sunday, and holidays, the service will operate every 8 minutes between 11:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Seasonal hours of service change

  • Service to Exhibition Place will start an hour earlier from Monday to Friday because of increased activities at Exhibition Place in the summer.

Summer weekend fare collection at Union Station

  • On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from May 9 to September 6, a modified fare collection procedure at Harbourfront will be used, in order to speed boarding at busy stops at busy times. Customers who board streetcars at the eastbound stops on Queens Quay at Bathurst Street, Dan Leckie Way, Spadina Avenue, Rees Street, Simcoe Street, and York Street, and at the northbound platform at Queens Quay Station, will enter the streetcars through any door and will not pay a fare or be issued a transfer. Customers boarding streetcars at these stops will pay their fares instead when leaving the streetcar loop at Union Station. Normal pay-as-you-enter fare collection and transfer-issuing procedures will be used at all other stops on the 509 HARBOURFRONT and the 510 SPADINA routes. From Monday to Friday during the summer, and seven days a week after Labour Day, normal pay-as-you-enter fare collection will apply at all stops.

  • New accessible service will be provided, using lift-equipped buses. Not all buses and not all stops are accessible.

30 lambton

Seasonal route extension - Effective Sunday, June 20, 2004

  • Service will be operated into High Park on the 30B LAMBTON (Kipling Station-High Park via High Park Station) branch, on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, between 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Service will operate every 20 minutes on Saturdays, and every 30 minutes on Sundays and holidays. The last day of this summer service will be Labour Day, Monday, September 6, 2004.

  • Service will be increased during the daytime on Sundays and holidays, as travel increases to the Beach. Buses will operate every 15 minutes, instead of every 20 minutes.

85 Sheppard East

Seasonal service/schedule change - Effective Monday, June 21, 2004

  • Service will be reduced for the summer, and the branch structure of the route will be changed, so that less service is operated between Don Mills Station and Sheppard-Yonge Station, because of low ridership.

  • Service between Don Mills Station and Sheppard-Yonge Station during the peak periods will be operated by a separate branch, and customers travelling through Don Mills Station will have to transfer between buses. During the morning peak period, the service will change from every 10 minutes to every 15 minutes, and during the afternoon peak period, the service will change from every 11 minutes to every 15 minutes.

  • Service will be reduced for the summer, east of Don Mills Station. During the morning peak period, the combined service will change from every 5 minutes to every 5 minutes 30 seconds, and during the afternoon peak period, the combined service will change from every 5 minutes 30 seconds to every 6 minutes.

112 west mall

Sunday service north of Eglinton removed - Effective Sunday, June 20, 2004

  • Sunday daytime service on the 112C (Kipling Station-Disco Rd) branch will be removed, because of low ridership, and all service on Sundays will operate on the 112A (Kipling Station-Eglinton) branch only. The last day of Sunday service north of Eglinton Avenue on the 112C branch will be Sunday, June 13, 2004. There will be no change to the service levels south of Eglinton Avenue.

92 woodbine south

Additional seasonal service to Lake Shore - Effective June 15 to July 25, 2004

  • Additional service will be operated to Lake Shore Boulevard for the Shakespeare Works theatre festival, at Ashbridges Bay Park, from June 15 until July 25, 2004.

  • During the afternoon peak period and the evenings from Monday to Friday, service will operate on the 92A (Woodbine Station-Lake Shore) branch, instead of on the 92 (Woodbine Station-Queen) branch. Service will operate later into the evening, with a last trip from Lake Shore at approximately 12:00 midnight, instead of approximately 10:00 p.m. Buses will operate approximately every 15 minutes during the afternoon peak period and every 30 minutes during the evening.

  • On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays later service will be operated during the evenings, with a last trip from Lake Shore at approximately 12:00 midnight, instead of approximately 10:00 p.m. Buses will operate every 30 minutes.

  • From July 6 to July 20, 2004, Monday-Friday service to Lake Shore Boulevard will start at approximately 8:30 a.m., instead of 9:00 a.m.

194 zoo rocket

Seasonal service to Toronto Zoo - Effective Sunday, June 20, 2004

  • Saturday, Sunday, and holiday seasonal express bus service will be operated between Scarborough Centre Station and the Toronto Zoo, on the 194 ZOO ROCKET route. Buses will operate every 20 minutes, from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., departing from Scarborough Centre Station and from Toronto Zoo every 20 minutes, on the hour. Accessible lift-equipped buses will be used to provide accessible service (not all buses and not all stops are accessible). Buses will operate via Highway 401 and will stop at Scarborough Centre Station, and all stops on Meadowvale Road between Highway 401 and the Toronto Zoo. The first day of service will be Sunday, June 20, 2004, and the last day will be Labour Day, Monday, September 6, 2004. At Scarborough Centre Station, the route will operate from the same bus bay as the 169 HUNTINGWOOD route.

Routing details

Eastbound: From Scarborough Centre Station (169 HUNTINGWOOD bus bay), east on Triton Gate, north on McCowan Road, east on Highway 401, north on Meadowvale Road to Toronto Zoo. Buses stop at Scarborough Centre Station, and then all stops on Meadowvale Road between Highway 401 and Toronto Zoo.

Westbound: From Toronto Zoo, south on Meadowvale Road, west on Highway 401, south on McCowan Road, west on Triton Gate to Scarborough Centre Station. Buses stop at all stops on Meadowvale Road between Toronto Zoo and Highway 401, and Scarborough Centre Station.
