310 Bathurst

New accessible service - Effective Sunday, July 31, 2005 

  • New accessible service will be operated, between Steeles Avenue and Bloor Street. Low-floor buses will be used. Accessible service will not be provided south of Bloor Street, as the daytime service along this portion of the route is provided by the 511 BATHURST streetcar route, which is not accessible.

New bike rack service - Effective Sunday, July 31, 2005 

  • New bike rack service will be operated, between Steeles Avenue and Exhibition.

49 Bloor West

Schedule Change - Effective Tuesday, August 2, 2005

  • Two trips at approximately 9:08 a.m. and 10:18 p.m. from Monday to Friday, which presently end service at Bloor Street and Markland Drive, will be extended in service to Mill Road and Bloor Street. This change will carry customers all the way to their destinations.

313 Jane

New accessible service - Effective Sunday, July 31, 2005 

  • New accessible service will be operated, between Steeles Avenue and Bloor Street. Low-floor buses will be used. Accessible service will not be provided south of Bloor Street, as the daytime service along this portion of the route is provided by the 504 KING and 505 DUNDAS streetcar routes, which are not accessible.

162 Lawrence-Donway and 124 Sunnybrook

New accessible service - Effective Sunday, July 31, 2005 

  • New accessible service will be operated, using low-floor buses. There will be no change to service levels.

132 Milner

Contract service ends - After Friday, July 29, 2005

  • The late evening round trip from Monday to Friday on the 132B (Scarborough Centre Station-Executive Court) branch will be eliminated, as the contract service arrangement with a local industry to subsidize this trip has ended. There will be no changes to trip times on the 132 (Scarborough Centre Station-McLevin and Hupfield) branch.

80 Queensway

Service reliability improvement - Effective Saturday, August 6, 2005

  • Additional time will be added to the schedule on Saturdays, to improve the reliability of service and to reduce delays resulting from increasing traffic congestion. Trip times will change at all times of the day. Service will continue to operate every 30 minutes during the morning and during the evening. Service will be improved to every 24 minutes from every 30 minutes, in the daytime, between approximately 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

512 St Clair and  312 St Clair

Construction Notice - Effective Sunday, July 31, 2005

  • In conjunction with the St. Clair West track reconstruction project, beginning Sunday, July 31, elevator construction work at St Clair Station will require the temporary closure of the streetcar loop located on the upper level.

Time Based Transfers - Effective Sunday, July 31, 2005

  • Starting Sunday, July 31, the TTC will introduce a new Time Based Transfer pilot program, which will continue until the end of construction on the St. Clair Avenue West Transit Improvement Project.

  • A Time Based Transfer allows you to travel up to two hours on the 512 ST. CLAIR route.  You can board a 512 ST. CLAIR streetcar or bus at any stop in any direction until the expiry time shown.

  • On routes other than 512 ST. CLAIR, the transfer is valid at connecting route transfer points only, until the expiry time shown.

165 Weston Rd North

Route Extension - York Region Transit request - Effective Tuesday, August 2, 2005

  • At the request of York Region Transit, new service will be operated to the Vellore Woods residential area, east of Weston Road and south of Major Mackenzie Drive, during the peak periods from Monday to Friday. With this change, peak period service north of Steeles Avenue will alternate between the existing 165D WESTON RD NORTH (York Mills Station-Major Mackenzie) and the new 165F WESTON RD NORTH (York Mills Station- Major Mackenzie & Vellore Woods) branch. Service on each of the two branches will operate every 51 minutes in the morning peak period and every 44 minutes in the afternoon peak period. There will be no change to the 25 minute 30 second combined service south of Ashberry Boulevard in the morning peak period, or to the 22 minute combined service south of Ashberry Boulevard in the afternoon peak period.

A regular holiday service will be operated on most TTC routes (see below for exceptions). The Scarborough RT early closure, and associated 54 Lawrence East changes, will be in effect on this day.
