192 Airport Rocket

Service increase

  • Service will be increased, between approximately 12:30 and 7:30 p.m., every day, to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 45 min to every 22 min 30 s. Existing trip times will not change.

New trips from Kipling Station at: 12:47, 1:33, 2:17, 3:03, 3:47, 4:33, 5:17, 6:03, 6:47, 7:33 p.m.

New trips from Terminal 3 at: 1:03, 1:49, 2:33, 3:19, 4:03, 4:49, 5:33, 6:19, 7:03, 7:49 p.m. 

Trips depart from Terminal 2 five minutes after Terminal 3.

7 Bathurst

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the daytime on Saturdays, between 12:00 noon and 6:00 p.m., to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 8 min 15 s to every 7 min 30 s.

11 Bayview and 28 Davisville

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the morning peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The service on each of the 11 Bayview and 28 Davisville routes will be improved from every 14 min to every 12 min 30 s. The combined service on Davisville Avenue will be improved from every 7 min to every 6 min 15 s.

17 Birchmount

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced in the morning peak period from Monday to Friday, to allow service to be increased on other routes to reduce crowding. The service south of Steeles Avenue will change from every 6 min 20 s to every 7 min.

49 Bloor West

Trip time change

  • A trip will be revised at the beginning of the afternoon peak period to better accommodate customers who are travelling from Silverthorn C.I. This trip will leave the school at 3:16 p.m.

506/306 Carlton

Track reconstruction

  • A project to rebuild the track at five car stops on Gerrard Street and Main Street will require that streetcars on the 506/306 Carlton routes be replaced with buses on Saturdays and Sundays. Buses on the 506 Carlton route will operate over the regular route between Main Street Station and High Park, and will then operate via Parkside Drive to turn around at Keele Station. There will be no change to the routing of the 306 Carlton overnight service, which operates to Dundas West Station. Full streetcar service will resume by September 8.

Routing details

506 Carlton westbound: Over the regular routing from Main Street Station, west on Howard Park Avenue, north on Parkside Drive to Keele Station.

506 Carlton eastbound: From Keele Station, south on Parkside Drive, east on Howard Park Avenue, over the regular route to Main Street Station.

At stops with passenger islands, buses will serve the islands; at all other stops, buses will serve stops at the curb.

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced in the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to allow service to be increased on other routes to reduce crowding. The service will change from every 13 min to every 16 min.

87 Cosburn

Service increase

  • One additional westbound trip will be operated on the 87B (Broadview Station-Coxwell) branch, arriving at Broadview Station at approximately 9:20 a.m. The additional trip will reduce crowding on buses on Broadview Avenue.

42 Cummer

Service increase

  • Service will be increased on Sundays and holidays, between 1:00 and 6:00 p.m., to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 30 min to every 20 min.

108 Downsview

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the morning peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 8 min 20 s to every 7 min 15 s.

29 Dufferin

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the daytime on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 4 min 15 s to every 3 min 45 s on Saturdays, and from every 4 min 45 s to every 4 min on Sundays and holidays.

Temporary service change - City of Toronto road reconstruction

  • Service will be revised as a result of the City of Toronto project to reconstruct Dufferin Street from Bloor to Dupont streets. The road will remain open, but will be restricted to one lane in each direction. This project will begin in September, and will last through to the fall. To reduce the effects of traffic delays, additional time will be added to the schedules during the peak periods from Monday to Friday, the midday from Monday to Friday, and the daytime on Saturday, Sunday and holidays.

32 Eglinton West

Trip time changes

  • Three trips will be revised at the beginning of the afternoon peak period to better accommodate customers who are travelling from Michael Power/St. Joseph Secondary School. These trips will leave the school at 2:40, 2:45 and 2:50 p.m.

39 Finch East

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the early evening from Monday to Friday between 6:50 and 8:00 p.m., to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 5 min to every 4 min. Service will be increased during the late evening from Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 11:00 p.m., to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 9 min to every 8 min. Service will be increased during the daytime on Saturdays, between 1:00 and 6:00 p.m., to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 6 min to every 5 min 30 s.

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced in the daytime on Sundays and holidays, to allow service to be increased on other routes to reduce crowding. The combined service west of McCowan Road will change from every 6 min to every 6 min 30 s.

36 Finch West

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the morning peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The combined service east of Jane Street will be improved from every 2 min 55 s to every 2 min 40 s.

  • Service will be increased during the daytime on Saturdays, to reduce crowding. The combined service east of Kipling Avenue will be improved from every 7 min 40 s to every 6 min 30 s. Service west of Kipling Avenue will be changed from every 7 min 40 s to every 13 min.

509 Harbourfront

Seasonal service change

  • Service will return to the spring/fall levels, to match seasonal ridership changes along Harbourfront. Late evening service, seven days a week, will be eliminated for the fall and winter. Service west of Fleet Loop to Exhibition will start at approximately 9:00 a.m. from Monday to Saturday, instead of the earlier start time in the summer.

  • Service will be operated every 10 to 13 min in the peak periods, every 10 min during the daytime on weekends and holidays, and every 20 min during the midday from Monday to Friday and during the early evening from Monday to Saturday.

  • The first westbound trip from Monday to Friday will leave Rouge Hill GO Station two minutes earlier, at 5:02 a.m., to better connect with the first westbound 95 York Mills bus at Ellesmere Road.

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced in the morning and afternoon peak periods, and during the daytime on Saturdays, to allow service to be increased on other routes to reduce crowding. The service will change from every 11 min to every 13 min in the morning, from every 12 min to every 14 min in the afternoon, and from every 12 min to every 15 min in the daytime on Saturdays.

139 Huntingwood

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced in the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to allow service to be increased on other routes to reduce crowding. The service will change from every 16 min to every 18 min 40 s.

35 Jane

Service increase

  • Service will be increased between 7:00 and 7:40 p.m. on Sundays and holidays, to reduce crowding. Three additional northbound trips will be operated as far as Finch Avenue.

40 Junction

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 10 min to every 7 min 30 s.

43 Kennedy

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The combined service south of Progress Avenue will be improved from every 8 min to every 7 min.

504 King and 303 Don Mills

Track reconstruction ends

  • The track reconstruction on Broadview Avenue between Dundas Street and Queen Street will be completed at the end of the Labour Day weekend, and 504 King streetcars and 303 Don Mills buses will return to their regular routes by Tuesday, September 4, 2001.

54 Lawrence East

Trip time change

  • The first trip leaving Starspray Loop in the mornings from Monday to Friday will be changed to depart five minutes earlier, at 5:15 a.m., to better connect with the first southbound Scarborough RT train from Lawrence East Station.

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced during the daytime on Saturday, to allow service to be increased on other routes to reduce crowding. The combined service west of Orton Park Road will change from every 10 min 30 s to every 11 min 30 s in the morning and from every 8 min to every 10 min in the afternoon.

52 Lawrence West, 58 Malton , 59 Maple Leaf , 109 Ranee and 400 Lawrence Manor Community Bus

Lawrence West Station bus terminal rebuilding ends

  • The project to rebuild the bus roadway at Lawrence West Station will be complete in August, and all service will return to the usual routings and service levels by Labour Day, Monday, September 3, 2001.

51 Leslie

Service increase

  • A new later round trip will be added on Saturdays, leaving Eglinton Station at 7:08 p.m.

46 Martin Grove

Service increase

  • One additional northbound trip will be added from Monday to Friday, departing Kipling Station at approximately 9:30 p.m., to reduce crowding.

129 McCowan North

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the late evening from Monday to Friday, between 9:43 and 10:43 p.m., to reduce crowding. The combined service south of Steeles Avenue will be improved from every 20 min to every 10 min. There will be no change to departure times on the 129A (Scarborough Centre-16th Ave) branch.

  • Service will be increased during the early evening on Saturday, to reduce crowding. One additional northbound trip will be added, departing Scarborough Centre between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m. There will be no change to departure times on the 129A (Scarborough Centre-16th Ave) branch.

116 Morningside

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the morning peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The service on the 116 (Kennedy Stn-Old Finch) branch will be improved from every 8 min to every 7 min 20 s.

  • Service will be increased during the midday from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The service on each of the 116 Morningside and 86 Scarborough routes will be improved from every 12 min to every 10 min 30 s.

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The service on the 116 (Kennedy Stn-Old Finch) branch will be improved from every 6 min 15 s to every 5 min 30 s.

133 Neilson

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 12 min to every 10 min.

73 Royal York

Schedule change

  • Service will be changed on the 73B (Royal York Stn-Eglinton and La Rose Ave) branch during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to improve reliability. Additional time will be added to the schedule, to reduce the effects of traffic congestion. Buses will run every 30 min during the morning and afternoon peak periods.

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced in the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to allow service to be increased on other routes to reduce crowding. The combined service south of Dixon Road will change from every 6 min 07 s to every 6 min 56 s.

76 Royal York South and 15 Evans

Temporary schedule change - City construction

  • The City of Toronto is rebuilding the Royal York Road bridge over Mimico Creek (south of Bloor Street). The project started on June 4, 2001, and will last until the fall. The road has remained open, but is restricted to one lane, with traffic signals.

  • All trips on the 15 Evans and 76 Royal York South routes will continue to operate over the present route. Additional time will be added to the schedules of both routes, to reduce the effects of traffic delays. On the 76 Royal York South route, the combined service north of The Queensway will change from every 4 min 44 s to every 5 min 18 s. In the afternoon, the combined service north of The Queensway will change from every 5 min 36 s to every 6 min 14 s. There will be no change to service levels on the 15 Evans route, but some trip times will change.

86 Scarborough

Seasonal service change

  • The hours of service to the Toronto Zoo will be changed to match the earlier closing time of the zoo, at 6:00 p.m. The last trips on the 86A Scarborough (Kennedy Stn-Toronto Zoo) branch will leave the zoo at approximately 7:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday. Weekend and holiday service to the zoo on the 86 Scarborough route will be discontinued after Labour Day for the fall and winter.

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the midday from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The service on each of the 116 Morningside and 86 Scarborough routes will be improved from every 12 min to every 10 min 30 s.

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The service on the 86A (Kennedy Stn-Toronto Zoo) branch will be improved from every 16 min to every 13 min 20 s. The service on the 86E (Kennedy Stn-Sheppard Express) branch will be improved from every 13 min to every 11 min.

79 Scarlett Rd

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the morning peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 6 min to every 5 min 30 s.

85 Sheppard East

Seasonal service change

  • The hours of service to the Toronto Zoo will be changed to match the earlier closing time of the zoo, at 6:00 p.m. The last trips on the 85B Sheppard East (Sheppard Stn-Toronto Zoo) and 85D Sheppard East (Sheppard Stn-Rouge Hill GO Stn via Toronto Zoo) branches will leave the zoo at approximately 7:00 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Service increase

  • Service will be increased between 1:30 and approximately 3:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The combined service east of Brimley Road will be improved from every 7 min 20 s to every 5 min.

  • Service will be increased early on Saturday mornings, to reduce crowding. The combined service west of Meadowvale Road will be improved from every 15 min to every 10 min between 7:00 and 8:30 a.m.

  • Service will be increased in the afternoon on Saturdays, to reduce overcrowding. Between 12:00 noon and 7:30 p.m. the combined service west of Meadowvale Road will be improved from every 6 min 15 s to every 5 min 30 s.

  • Service will be increased on Sundays and holidays, to reduce crowding. The combined service west of Meadowvale Road will be improved from every 9 min to every 7 min before noon, and from every 7 min to every 6 min 30 s after noon.

75 Sherbourne

Service increase

  • One additional round trip will be operated at the end of the morning peak period, to reduce crowding. The 11 min morning peak period service will continue until approximately 9:50 a.m. southbound from South Drive, and 10:13 a.m. northbound from Queens Quay.

Service reliability improvement

  • Additional time will be added to the schedules during the afternoon peak period, to improve the reliability of service and reduce the effects of traffic delays. The service will change from every 11 min to every 12 min.

512 St Clair

Track reconstruction ends

  • The project to rebuild the track at four car stops on St. Clair Avenue and on Bathurst Street will conclude by Sunday, September 2, 2001, and normal streetcar operation will resume.

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the morning peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The combined service east of Lansdowne Avenue will be improved from every 2 min 55 s to every 2 min 40 s.

Service reliability improvement

  • Additional time will be added to the schedules during the afternoon peak period, and the daytime on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, to improve service reliability. The service will change from every 3 min 40 s to every 3 min 45 s in the afternoon peak period. There will be no change to service levels during the daytime on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays.

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced during the late evening on Sundays and holidays, to allow service to be increased on other routes to reduce crowding. The service will change from every 11 min to every 14 min.

53 Steeles East

Service increase

  • Service will be increased between 1:30 and 2:40 p.m. from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 10 min to every 9 min.

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The combined local service west of Pharmacy Avenue will be improved from every 6 min to every 5 min 30s. The service on the 53E (Finch Stn-Markham Rd) express branch will be improved from every 8 min to every 7 min 30 s.

  • Service will be increased between 6:45 and 8:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 10 min to every 6 min 45 s. Two additional express trips will be operated at the end of the afternoon peak period, to reduce crowding. The trips will depart eastbound from Finch Station at approximately 6:55 and 7:05 p.m.

  • On Saturdays, two additional trips will be operated, departing eastbound from Finch Station at approximately 7:10 and 7:30 p.m. On Sundays and holidays, the 12 min early evening service will continue until 7:40 p.m., eastbound from Finch Station.

60 Steeles West

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the daytime on Sundays and holidays, to reduce crowding. The combined service east of York University will be improved from every 10 min to every 8 min 30 s. Service west of York University will be improved from every 20 min to every 10 min.

168 Symington

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the daytime on Sundays and holidays, between 12:00 noon and 6:00 p.m., to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 15 min to every 12 min.

10 Van Horne

Service reduction

  • Service will be reduced in the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to allow service to be increased on other routes to reduce crowding. The service will change from every 6 min 18 s to every 7 min.

24 Victoria Park

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon on Sundays and holidays, to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 12 min to every 10 min 30 s.

  • Service will be increased between approximately 6:36 to 7:36 p.m. on Sundays and holidays, to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 20 min to every 12 min.

68 Warden

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the morning peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The combined service south of Steeles Avenue will be improved from every 5 min to every 4 min 45 s.

  • Service will be increased at the beginning of the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 10 min to every 6 min 30 s, southbound from Steeles Avenue from approximately 2:05 to 2:30 p.m.

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon on Saturdays, to reduce crowding. The combined service south of Steeles Avenue will be improved from every 12 min 30 s to every 11 min.

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon on Sundays and holidays, to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 14 min to every 12 min.

94 Wellesley

Service reliability improvement

  • Additional time will be added to the schedules during the afternoon peak period, to improve reliability and reduce the effects of traffic delays. There will be no change to service levels.

112 West Mall

Trip time changes

  • Two trips will be revised in the morning peak period to better accommodate customers who are travelling to Michael Power/St. Joseph Secondary School. These northbound trips will arrive at the school at 8:10 and 8:16 a.m.

  • Three trips will be revised at the beginning of the afternoon peak period to better accommodate customers who are travelling from Michael Power/St. Joseph Secondary School. These southbound trips will leave the school at 2:40, 2:45 and 2:50 p.m.

89 Weston

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the daytime on Sundays and holidays, to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 12 min to every 10 min 30 s between 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and from every 15 min to every 12 min between 5:00 p.m. to 7:40 p.m.

165 Weston Rd North

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The combined service south of Steeles Avenue will be improved from every 10 min to every 9 min. Service in York Region on the 165D (York Mills Stn-Rutherford) branch will be improved from every 20 min to every 18 min.

96 Wilson  and 165 Weston Rd North

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon on Sundays and holidays, to reduce crowding. The service on each route will be improved from every 24 min to every 20 min, and the combined service on Wilson Avenue will be improved from every 12 min to every 10 min. Service in York Region on the 165D (York Mills Stn-Rutherford) branch will be improved from every 48 min to every 40 min.

92 Woodbine South

Service increase

  • A new earlier round trip will be added from Monday to Friday, leaving Woodbine Station at 5:21 a.m., to better connect with the first eastbound trips on the Bloor-Danforth Subway.

95 York Mills

Service increase

  • Service will be increased between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The combined service west of Military Trail will be improved from every 10 min to every 7 min 30 s.

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon on Saturdays, to reduce crowding. The service will be improved from every 12 min to every 11 min.

196 York University Rocket

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the peak periods from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding. The combined service between Downsview Station and York University will be improved from every 3 min 20 s to every 3 min in the morning, and from every 6 min to every 5 min in the afternoon. Service between Sheppard Station and Downsview Station will be improved from every 10 min to every 9 min in the morning, and from every 12 min to every 10 min in the afternoon.

Seasonal route changes

Summer service changes end

  • The seasonal route changes and seasonal increases in the hours of service that began on some routes in May and June 2001 will end on Labour Day, Monday, September 3, 2001.

HOLIDAY SERVICE

Details for service on the Labour Day holiday weekend are:

Saturday, September 1, 2001 - A regular Saturday service will be operated.

Sunday, September 2, 2001 - A regular Sunday service will be operated. Routes which had increased seasonal service or seasonal route extensions in August will continue to operate their summer service on this day.

Labour Day, Monday, September 3, 2001 - A regular holiday service will be scheduled on Labour Day, Monday, September 3, 2001. This means that routes which operate on Sundays in August will operate at the same levels of service as on Sundays, but service will start earlier in the morning, at about the same time as on Saturdays. Summer service increases, summer route extensions, and summer extensions of hours of service will all be in effect on Labour Day.

Details for service on the Thanksgiving holiday weekend are:

Saturday, October 6, 2001 - A regular Saturday service will be operated.

Sunday, October 7, 2001 - A regular Sunday service will be operated.

Thanksgiving holiday, Monday, October 8, 2001 - A regular holiday service will be scheduled on Thanksgiving, Monday, October 8, 2001. This means that routes which operate on Sundays in September and October will operate at the same levels of service as on Sundays, but service will start earlier in the morning, at about the same time as on Saturdays.
