  • Service will be increased early in the morning, seven days a week. Two earlier northbound trips will be operated from Wilson Avenue and Transit Road.

Service Increase - Effective Tuesday, September 6, 2005

  • Service will be increased at the end of the morning peak period from Monday to Friday, eastbound from Finch Station. One additional eastbound trip will be operated on the 42B (Finch Station-Kennedy) branch, so that eastbound service from Finch Station between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. operates about every 7 minutes.

113 Danforth

New accessible service

  • New accessible service will be operated, using low-floor buses.

Schedule change

  • Service will be changed from every 28 minutes to a clockface 30 minutes service during the daytime and early evening on Saturdays. Trip times at Main Street Station will be offset with the 20 CLIFFSIDE route.

23 Dawes

  • New accessible service will be operated, using low-floor buses.

  • Service will be increased in the late evening from Monday to Friday. An additional trip will be operated, so that service from Main Street Station operates every 15 minutes until approximately 10:45 p.m.

  • New accessible service will be operated, using low-floor buses.

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon on Sundays and holidays, as part of the Ridership Growth Strategy. Service will improve from every 7 minutes to every 6 minutes.

303 Don Mills

New accessible service

  • New accessible service will be operated using low-floor buses between Steeles Avenue and Danforth Avenue. Accessible service will not be provided south of Danforth Avenue as the daytime service along this portion of the route is provided by the 504 KING and 505 DUNDAS streetcar routes, which are not accessible.

29 Dufferin

Service increase - Ridership Growth Strategy

  • Monday to Friday midday service between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. will improve from every 5 minutes to every 4 minutes 30 seconds.

  • Monday to Friday early evening service will improve from every 6 minutes to every 5 minutes.

  • Monday to Friday late evening service will improve from every 9 minutes to every 8 minutes.

  • Saturday morning service will improve from every 4 minutes 15 seconds to every 4 minutes.

Extension to Wilson Station

  • This route will be extended to Wilson Station. Service along Lawrence Avenue, from Dufferin Street to Yonge Street, will be replaced by a new 352 LAWRENCE WEST overnight route, operating between Weston Road and Yonge Street. Service will continue to be provided every 30 minutes on the 329 DUFFERIN route.

Service increase - Ridership Growth Strategy - Effective Sunday, September 4, 2005

  • Service will be increased in the early evening from Monday to Friday, as part of the Ridership Growth Strategy and will improve from every 7 minutes 30 seconds to 6 minutes 30 seconds.

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the early evening on Sundays and holidays. Three additional westbound trips will be operated from Eglinton Station to Keele Street, between approximately 5:40 and 7:10 p.m.

Branch name change

  • The 32 (Eglinton Station - Renforth& Skymark) branch will be renamed to the 32A (Eglinton Station - Renforth& Skymark) branch, to help better identify the two different destinations.

39 Finch East

Service increase - Ridership Growth Strategy - Effective Tuesday, September 6, 2005

  • Monday to Friday midday service will improve from every 3 minutes 40 seconds to every 3 minutes 15 seconds.

  • Monday to Friday service between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. will improve from every 8 minutes to every 7 minutes.

36 Finch West

Service increase - Ridership Growth Strategy - Effective Tuesday, September 6, 2005

  • Monday to Friday evening service will be supplemented by additional trips between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. Service will be also be increased west of Kipling Avenue. All buses on the route will operate on the 36B (Finch Station- Humberwood) branch and service west of Kipling Avenue will be improved from every 19 minutes to every 9 minutes in the early evening, and from every 22 minutes to every 11 minutes in the late evening.

  • Saturday early evening service will be supplemented by additional trips from Finch Station to Weston Road at approximately 7:12 and 7:24 p.m.

309 Finch West

509 Harbourfront

Seasonal service change - After Monday, September 5, 2005

  • Service will return to the spring/fall levels, to match seasonal ridership changes along Harbourfront. Late evening service, seven days a week, will be eliminated for the fall and winter. Service west of Fleet Loop to Exhibition will start at approximately 9:00 a.m. from Monday-Saturday, instead of the earlier start in the summer.

  • Service will be increased in the midday from Monday to Friday, as part of the Ridership Growth Strategy. Between approximately 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.
    service will improve from every 12 minutes to every 10 minutes. Between approximately 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., service will improve from every 15 minutes to every 12 minutes.

Service increase - Effective Tuesday, September 6, 2005

  • Service will be increased during the morning peak period from Monday to Friday. Service on the 37 (Islington Station-Steeles) branch will improve from every 7 minutes 30 seconds to every 7 minutes. Service on on the 37A (Islington Station-Humberwood via Woodbine) branch will improve from every 30 minutes to every 21 minutes. Service south of Rexdale Boulevard will be improved from every 6 minutes to every 5 minutes 15 seconds.

  • Service will also be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday. Service will be improved from every 10 minutes to every 9 minutes on the 37 (Islington Station-Steeles) branch and from every 20 minutes to every 18 minutes on the 37A (Islington Station-Humberwood via Woodbine) branch. New overnight service, Eglinton Station to U of T Scarborough

  • New Lawrence Avenue East overnight service will be operated from Eglinton Station to U of T Scarborough, on a new 354 LAWRENCE EAST route. Buses will operate from the bus loop at the University of Toronto Scarborough campus to Eglinton Station via Military Trail, Morningside Drive, Lawrence Avenue, Don Mills Road, and Eglinton Avenue. Service will be provided every 30 minutes.

  • Monday to Friday early evening service, east of Pearson Airport, will improve from every 13 minutes to every 12 minutes.

  • Sunday and holiday afternoon service will improve from every 12 minutes to every 10 minutes.

102 Markham Rd

New Sunday service to Major Mackenzie Drive

  • New Sunday and holiday service will be operated in York Region on the 102D (Warden Station-Major Mackenzie) branch, at the request of York Region Transit. Service will be provided every 60 minutes in the morning, every 51 minutes in the afternoon, and every 60 minutes in the early evening. 

  • Service north of Steeles Avenue is in the York Region fare zone. A valid York Region fare must be paid.

Service increase

  • Service will be increased in the morning peak period from Monday to Friday. The combined service south of Progress Avenue will be improved from every 6 minutes to every 5 minutes.

116 Morningside

Service increase - Ridership Growth Strategy - Effective Tuesday, September 6, 2005

  • An additional eastbound trip will be added on the 116 (Kennedy Station-Old Finch) branch, so that eastbound service from Kennedy Station on this branch, between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m., operates about every 6 minutes. 

  • A new later eastbound trip will be added on the 116A (Kennedy Station- Conlins Rd via Ellesmere) branch, departing from Kennedy Station at 7:10 p.m.

133 Neilson

Service increase

  • Service will be increased in the peak periods from Monday to Friday. All trips during the peak periods will operate on the 133 (Scarborough Centre Station- Morningside Heights) branch, and 133A NEILSON service during the peak periods will be removed from Crow Trail, Baldoon Road, and Finch Avenue. During the morning peak period service will improve from every 11 minutes to every 10 minutes. During the afternoon peak period service will be improve from every 10 minutes to every 9 minutes 15 seconds.

Schedule change

  • Later service will be operated on the 133 (Scarborough Centre-Morningside Heights) branch, seven days a week, so that last trip leaves Scarborough Centre Station at approximately 10:00 p.m., instead of the present 9:00 p.m. (9:30 p.m. on Sundays).

  • Additional time will be added to the Monday-Friday schedules on this route, to improve service reliability and to reduce delays resulting from increased traffic congestion. In the morning and afternoon peak periods service will change from every 24 minutes to every 30 minutes. In the midday from Monday to Friday, service will change from every 22 minutes to every 24 minutes.

  • Saturday, Sunday, and holiday service to the Toronto Zoo will be discontinued after Labour Day, Monday, September 5, 2005, and the last trip time from the Toronto Zoo from Monday to Friday will be changed to match the earlier closing time of the zoo, at 6:00 p.m. The last trip on the 86A SCARBOROUGH (Kennedy Station-Toronto Zoo) branch will leave the zoo at 7:07 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

Service Increase - Ridership Growth Strategy

  • Monday to Friday early evening service, east of Don Mills Station, will improve from every 10 minutes to every 8 minutes. Service between Don Mills Station and Sheppard-Yonge Station during the early evening will be changed to be operated by a separate branch, the same as during the peak period and midday from Monday to Friday. Customers traveling through Don Mills Station will have to transfer between buses and service will be provided every 20 minutes.

  • Saturday afternoon service, between approximately 1:00 and 6:00 p.m. east of Don Mills Station, will improve from every 6 minutes to every 5 minutes.

  • Sunday and holiday afternoon service, between approximately 12:30 and 6:00 p.m. east of Don Mills Station, will improve from every 7 minutes to every 6 minutes.

Seasonal service change

  • The last trip time from the Toronto Zoo on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays will be changed to match the earlier closing time of the zoo, at 6:00 p.m. The last trips to Don Mills Station, Sheppard-Yonge Station, and Rouge Hill GO Station will leave the zoo at approximately 7:00 p.m.

  • Saturday, Sunday, and holiday extended evening hours of service to Toronto Zoo will end.

385 Sheppard East

New overnight service, Yonge Street to Meadowvale Road

  • New overnight service will be operated on Sheppard Avenue East from Yonge Street to Meadowvale Road, on a new 385 SHEPPARD EAST route. Service will be provided every 30 minutes. Buses will not enter Don Mills Station. Accessible service will be provided, using lift-equipped buses.

  • Monday to Friday midday service, north of King Street, will improve from every 2 minutes 08 seconds to every 1 minutes 53 seconds.

  • Saturday afternoon service, north of King Street, will improve from every 2 minutes 20 seconds to every 2 minutes.

  • Saturday early evening service, north of King Street, will improve from every 3 minutes 07 seconds to every 2 minutes 47 seconds.

  • Service will be increased during the morning peak period from Monday to Friday. Service on the 53E (Finch Station-Markham Rd Express) branch will improve from every 5 minutes 15 seconds to every 5 minutes.

  • Service will also be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday. Service on the 53 (Finch Station-Pharmacy) and 53B (Finch Station-Markham Rd) branches, west of Pharmacy Avenue, will improve from every 5 minutes 15 seconds to every 4 minutes 45 seconds. Service will also be added to the 53E (Finch Station- Markham Rd Express) branch, and will improve from every 6 minutes 30 seconds to every 5 minutes 40 seconds.

  • Earlier trips will be operated on Sunday and holiday mornings on the 53B (Finch Station- Markham Rd) branch so that service will begin at approximately 7:00 a.m. instead of 8:00 a.m.

  • On Sunday and holiday mornings, service will improve from every 18 minutes to every 13 minutes. In the afternoon, service will improve from every 10 minutes to every 9 minutes.

Service increase - Ridership Growth Strategy

  • Monday to Friday midday service will improve from 10 minutes to every 9 minutes before 1:00 p.m. and from every 9 minutes to every 8 minutes 15 seconds after 1:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon service will improve from every 10 minutes to every 7 minutes. Saturday early evening service, between approximately 6:00 and 7:40 p.m. eastbound from Finch Station, will improve from 10 minutes to 8 minutes.

353 Steeles East

New overnight service, Yonge Street to Middlefield Road

  • New overnight service will be operated on Steeles Avenue East from Yonge Street to Middlefield Road, on a new 353 STEELES EAST route. Service will be provided every 30 minutes. Accessible service will be provided, using lift-equipped buses.

  • Service will be increased in the morning peak period from Monday to Friday. Two additional westbound trips will be operated from Finch Station to Highway 27, so that westbound service between 5:30 and 6:00 a.m. operates about every 7 minutes 30 seconds.

Service increase - Ridership Growth Strategy

  • Service will be increased during the midday from Monday to Friday, as part of the Ridership Growth Strategy. Service on the 60C (Finch Station-York University) branch, between approximately 10:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., will be improved from every 12 minutes to every 6 minutes, and the combined service on the route east of Keele Street will be improved from every 6 minutes to every 4 minutes.

68 Warden

Extension to Major Mackenzie Drive

  • The 68B (Warden Station-16th Avenue) branch will be extended to Major Mackenzie Drive, and will be renamed the 68B (Warden Station- Major Mackenzie) branch, at the request of York Region Transit. All service on the 68 WARDEN route will be removed from 16th Avenue, Village Gate Drive, and Calvert Road.

  • There will be no change to service levels north of Steeles Avenue.

  • Service will be increased during the late evening from Monday to Friday and will improve from every 30 minutes to every 15 minutes.

Service increase - Ridership Growth Strategy - Effective Tuesday, September 6, 2005

  • New service during the midday and early evening on the 196B (Sheppard-Yonge Station-York University) branch will be operated. This will reduce crowding on the parallel 84 SHEPPARD WEST route and will provide an alternative to the 60 STEELES WEST route for travel between the Yonge Subway and York University.

  • Monday to Friday midday service, between approximately 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. west of Downsview Station, will be improved from every 3 minutes to every 2 minutes 30 seconds.

  • Monday to Friday early evening service will improve from every 7 minutes to every 6 minutes.

  • Service between Downsview and Sheppard-Yonge stations will operate every 10 minutes between approximately 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., every 12 minutes between approximately 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and every 12 minutes in the early evening.

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday and the combined service between Downsview Station and York University will improve from every 4 minutes to every 3 minutes 30 seconds.

6 Bay – Early-evening service will be operated
172 Cherry Street – Service will operate to Cherry Beach ( Clarke Beach Park ) and to the Toronto International Ferry Terminal (subject to confirmation)
23 Dawes – The increased summer service will be operated
509 Harbourfront – The increased summer service will be operated
30 Lambton – Service will operate into High Park
64 Main – The increased summer service will be operated
85 Sheppard East – Service to the Toronto Zoo will run until the normal time for Sundays in the summer
86 Scarborough – Service will operate to the Toronto Zoo

Monday, September 5
A regular holiday service will be operated on most TTC routes. The Scarborough RT early closure, and 54 Lawrence East changes, will be in effect on this day.
