Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the morning peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. The service will be improved from every 2 minutes 29 seconds to every 2 minutes 21 seconds.

511 Bathurst

Increased round-trip time

  • The round-trip time will be increased during the afternoon peak period, to improve the reliability of service. The service will be changed from every 6 minutes 45 seconds to every 7 minutes.

7 Bathurst

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the midday from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. The service will be improved from every 6 minutes 45 seconds to every 6 minutes 15 seconds.

11 Bayview

Running time increase

  • The scheduled round trip time will be increased in the midday from Monday to Friday to improve the reliability of service. The service will be improved from every 13 minutes 30 seconds to every 12 minutes.

25 Don Mills

Running time increase

  • The scheduled round trip time will be increased in the midday from Monday to Friday to improve the reliability of service. The service will be changed from every 6 minutes 20 seconds to every 6 minutes 40 seconds.

108 Downsview

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the early evening on Saturday, to reduce overcrowding. Between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m., the service will be improved from every 22 minutes to every 15 minutes.

144 Downtown/Don Valley Express

Route change

  • The routing of the northbound service in the afternoon peak period will be changed. The routing will be simplified in the Wynford Heights area and will no longer operate on Wynford Heights Crescent or to the cul-de-sac on Concorde Place.

  • The routing will not change in the morning peak period, and buses will continue to serve the stops on the Concorde Place cul-de-sac and on Wynford Heights Crescent.

Northbound - From Richmond and Jarvis, west on Richmond, south on Peter, east on Adelaide, north on Don Valley Parkway, north on Don Mills, east on St. Dennis, north on Wynford, north on Concorde Place, west on Concorde Gate, north on Don Valley Parkway, east on Lawrence, north on Underhill, west on Brookbanks, north on Valley Woods, east on York Mills, turn left at church and continue east on York Mills, south on Victoria Park, and west on Parkwoods Village to York Mills.

32 Eglinton West

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon peak period, to reduce overcrowding. The combined service between Keele Street and Eglinton West Station will be improved from every 3 minutes to every 2 minutes 45 seconds.

  • Service will be increased at the end of the afternoon peak period, to reduce overcrowding. Three new westbound trips will be added from Eglinton West Station, between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.

36 Finch West

Service increase

  • Service will be increased at the end of the afternoon peak period, to reduce overcrowding. Four new westbound trips will be added from Finch Station, between 6:20 and 7:00 p.m.

Schedule change

  • Additional running time will be added on the west end of the route, from approximately 6:20 to 7:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday. This change will better reflect actual operation, and will improve the reliability of the service. There will be no change to the service levels.

509 Harbourfront

End of seasonal service

  • Sunday and holiday service will be eliminated for the winter. There will be no change to service from Monday to Saturday. Evening, Sunday, and holiday service on this route will resume in May 2001.

Increased round-trip time

  • The round-trip time will be increased, to improve the reliability of service. During the morning peak period, the service will be changed from every 7 minutes 30 seconds to every 10 minutes. During the midday from Monday to Friday, the service will be changed from every 15 minutes to every 20 minutes. During the afternoon peak period, the service will change from every 12 minutes to every 13 minutes. On Saturdays, the service will be changed from every 15 minutes to every 13 minutes.

191 Highway 27 Express

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. Service will be improved from every 15 minutes to every 12 minutes.

37 Islington

Service increase

  • Service on the 37A (Islington Station-Woodbine Centre and Humberwood via Rexdale Blvd) branch will start earlier on Sunday mornings. The first northbound trip will depart from Islington Station at 9:18 a.m., and will reduce the overcrowding which now occurs on the first trips on the 37A branch. There will be no change to service on the 37 (Islington Station-Steeles) branch.

35 Jane

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the midday from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. The service south of Shoreham Drive will be improved from every 6 minutes 45 seconds to every 6 minutes.

Schedule change

  • Additional running time will be added to the local service between Wilson Avenue and Jane Station, during the morning and afternoon peak periods from Monday to Friday. This change will better reflect actual operation, and will improve the reliability of the service. There will be no change to the service levels.

Revised service for construction

  • The City of Toronto project to rebuild the bridge at the Jane Street/Steeles Avenue intersection will end. The revised routing, service levels, and running time on the route will end.

504 King

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the midday from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. The service will be improved from every 6 minutes 20 seconds to every 5 minutes 40 seconds.

52 Lawrence West and 58 Malton

Schedule change

  • The timing points on these two routes will be adjusted during the midday and afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday. These changes will better reflect actual operation, and will improve the reliability of the service. There will be no change to the overall round-trip time, the number of buses on the routes, or headways.

129 McCowan North

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. The service will be improved from every 5 minutes 40 seconds to every 5 minutes.

57 Midland

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. The service will be improved from every 8 minutes 30 seconds to every 7 minutes 30 seconds.

116 Morningside and 86 Scarborough

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the morning on Saturdays to reduce overcrowding. From approximately 7:45 a.m., a 10 minute service will be operated on each of the 116 Morningside and 86 Scarborough routes departing from Old Finch and the Zoo. Together, these routes will provide a combined 5 minutes service on Eglinton Avenue between Kingston Road and Kennedy Station.

65 Parliament

New service

  • New service will be operated during the daytime on Sundays and holidays. Service will operate every 30 minutes, from approximately 9:15 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., on the 65 (Castle Frank Station-Esplanade) branch.

501 Queen

End of track reconstruction

  • The track reconstruction project on Queen Street between Shaw Street and Fennings Street (one block east of Dovercourt Road) will end. The additional round-trip time and streetcars which were added to the route for construction will be removed, and all service will operate over the usual route on Queen Street.

Revised service

  • Recovery time will be added at busy times of the week, in order to improve the reliability of service. At most times of the week, the service levels will not change. During the afternoon on Saturdays and Sundays the service will be improved, from every 7 minutes to every 6 minutes 45 seconds on Saturdays, and from every 9 minutes to every 8 minutes 45 seconds on Sundays and holidays.

161 Rogers Rd. and 168 Symington  

Route change

  • These routes will be changed so that all buses which now turn around at Bicknell Loop, on Rogers Road just west of Keele Street, will be changed to instead operate to Avon Loop, on Weston Road at Rogers Road. There will be no change to service levels. The branches will be renamed, to 168 Symington (Dundas West Station-Weston Rd) and 161A Rogers Rd. (Ossington Station-Weston Rd). With this change, no service will be operated through Bicknell Loop.

73 Royal York

Route change

  • This route will be extended west on Albion Road to Claireville, during the peak periods from Monday to Friday, on the new 73C Royal York (Royal York Station-Claireville via Albion Rd) branch. Buses on the new service will run every 16 minutes. There will be no change to service at other times of the week, when buses will continue to operate to Humberline on the 73 Royal York (Royal York Station-Humberline via Albion Rd) branch.

Routing

Northbound – Over the present route west on Albion Road, continuing past the Humberline Loop (buses will not serve the loop), then south, west, and north (clockwise) on Claireport Crescent to Albion Road.

Southbound – From Claireport Crescent and Albion Road (west branch), east on Albion Road, continuing past the Humberline Loop (buses will not serve the loop), and then east over the present route.

71 Runnymede

Route change

  • This route has been changed to operate on Lambton Avenue, between Guestville Road and Weston Road, in both directions. Service has been removed from Guestville Road, York Street, and Eglinton Avenue. There has been no change to the service levels. This change began on July 17, 2000, because of road construction on Guestville Road.

Routing

Northbound – Over the present route north on Rockcliffe Boulevard, then east on Lambton Avenue, north on Weston Road, and over the present route east on Ray Avenue.

Southbound – Over the present route south on Black Creek Drive, then west on Eglinton Avenue, south on Weston Road, west on Lambton Drive, and over the present route south on Rockcliffe Boulevard.

86 Scarborough

Seasonal service change

  • The hours of service to the Toronto Zoo will be changed to match the earlier closing time of the zoo, at 4:30 p.m. The last trips on the 86A Scarborough (Kennedy Station-Toronto Zoo) branch will leave the zoo at approximately 5:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the morning from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding on the 86E (Kennedy Station-Sheppard Express) branch. The express service will be improved from every 6 minutes to every 5 minutes 30 seconds. There will be no change to the 86A, 86B, or 86D branches.

85 Sheppard East

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. The combined service between Sheppard Station and Victoria Park will be improved from every 3 minutes 30 seconds to every 3 minutes 15 seconds.

Seasonal service change

  • The hours of service to the Toronto Zoo will be changed to match the earlier closing time of the zoo, at 4:30 p.m. The last trips on the 85B Sheppard East (Sheppard Station-Toronto Zoo) and 85D Sheppard East (Sheppard Station-Rouge Hill GO Station via Toronto Zoo) branches will leave the zoo at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

84 Sheppard West

Revised service for construction

  • The City of Toronto project to rebuild the bridge at the Jane Street/Steeles Avenue intersection will end. The revised routing, service levels, and running time on the 84D (Sheppard Station-Jane & Steeles via Oakdale) branch will end.

123 Shorncliffe

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the morning peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. Service north of Sherway will be improved from every 11 minutes to every 8 minutes 30 seconds.

60 Steeles West

Revised service for construction

  • The City of Toronto project to rebuild the bridge at the Jane Street/Steeles Avenue intersection will end. The revised service levels and running time on the route will end.

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the late evening from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. East of York University, the service will be improved from every 16 minutes to every 12 minutes. West of York University, the service will be changed from every 16 minutes to every 24 minutes, because new service will be operated on the 60C (Finch Station-York University) branch, in order to provide more service on the busy eastern part of the route.

24 Victoria Park

Revised looping on Sundays

  • The direction of the north-end loop on Sundays and holidays will be reversed. This change will improve service for customers by establishing a consistent bus stop at Steeles Avenue for southbound buses on the 24 Victoria Park route.

  • North on Victoria Park Avenue, east on Gordon Baker Road, north on Pharmacy Avenue, west on Steeles Avenue East to south on Victoria Park Avenue.

68 Warden

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. The service will be improved from every 7 minutes 15 seconds to every 6 minutes 30 seconds.

89 Weston

Service increase

  • Service will be increased during the midday from Monday to Friday, to reduce overcrowding. The service will be improved from every 12 minutes to every 10 minutes.

165 Weston Rd. North

End of seasonal route extension

  • At the request of Vaughan Transit, the summer weekend and holiday extension to Canada's Wonderland will end for the winter. The last day of service will be Thanksgiving Day, Monday, October 9.
