Seasonal service changes end - Effective Sunday, October 21, 2007

  • Sunday, October 21, is the last day for the seasonal seven-days-a-week evening service. Starting Saturday, October 27, the TTC will operate weekend and holiday daytime service only between Union Station and Cherry and Commissioners Streets. Buses will operate every 15 minutes on Saturdays and every 30 minutes on Sundays and holidays. Please refer to the PDF file for first/last trip times.

  • The City of Toronto project to reconstruct McNicoll Avenue between Pharmacy Avenue and Kennedy Road will end on November 1. On Sunday, October 14, the TTC canceled the temporary schedules it used for this route during the construction and buses resumed their former schedules. The new schedules slightly affect service levels and change some specific trip times.

Schedule adjustments - Effective Sunday, October 14, 2007

  • On Sunday, October 14, the TTC revised its service to Exhibition Place. During Monday-to-Friday peak, midday, and early evening (before 10 p.m.) periods, and during the weekend and holiday daytime period, the TTC operates every second southbound bus beyond Dufferin Gate to the Princes’ Gates on the 29D “Exhibition / Princes’ Gates” branch. At all other times, all buses operate to the Princes’ Gates. The change did not affect service levels north of Exhibition Place.

  • The City of Toronto project to reconstruct Royal York Road south of Norseman Street recently ended. On Sunday, October 14, the TTC ended the temporary schedules it used for this route during the reconstruction and buses resumed preconstruction schedules. The new schedules slightly affect service levels and changed some specific trip times. Buses no longer detour along Norseman, Chartwell Road, Edgecroft Road, Bentley Drive, Uno Drive and Frankwood Road.

47 Lansdowne

Schedule adjustments - Effective Sunday, October 14, 2007

  • The City of Toronto project to reconstruct Lansdowne Avenue between Bloor Street West and College Street recently ended. On Sunday, October 14, the TTC canceled the temporary schedules it used for this route during the reconstruction and buses resumed their former schedules. The new schedules slightly affect service levels and change some specific trip times. Buses no longer detour along Bloor and Dundas Streets West.

129 McCowan north

Schedule adjustments - Effective Monday, October 15, 2007

  • On Monday, October 15, the TTC slightly changed trip times during the early part of the Monday-to-Friday morning peak period on the 129 branch to Major Mackenzie Drive. Between 5:33 and 7:07 a.m., southbound buses will leave Major Mackenzie at their previous times but serve the stops between 16th and Steeles Avenues one minute earlier. The trips that formerly left Major Mackenzie at 7:17 and 7:32 a.m. trips now leave two minutes earlier, and serve stops between 16th and Steeles Avenues one or two minutes earlier.

  • The additional service that the TTC operated on this route during streetcar track construction along Dundas Street East ended on Saturday, October 13. On Sunday, October 14, TTC buses resumed their former schedules. Buses run every 16 to 18 minutes from Monday to Saturday, and every 30 minutes on Sundays and holidays. Late evening Monday-to-Friday service (after 10 p.m.) and all weekend and holiday evening service (after 6 p.m.) has ended.

Schedule adjustments - Effective Sunday, October 14, 2007

  • The additional service that the TTC operated on this route during streetcar track construction along Dundas Street East ended on Saturday, October 13. On Sunday, October 14, TTC buses resumed their former schedules. Buses will operate every 20 minutes during Monday-to-Friday peak, midday and early evening (before 10 p.m.) periods and during the Saturday daytime period. Buses operate every 30 minutes at all other times. The TTC again interlines buses on this route with buses on the 75 Sherbourne route on Saturday evenings and all day Sundays.

312 St. Clair

Schedule adjustments - Effective Sunday, October 14, 2007

  • On Sunday, October 14, the TTC changed the schedule for the last eastbound trip to allow passengers to better connect with a bus operating on the 310 Bathurst overnight route. The bus continues to leave Jane Station at 4:22 a.m., but serves stops east of Dufferin Street one minute earlier.

75 Sherbourne

  • The additional service that the TTC operated on this route during streetcar track construction along Dundas Street East ended on Saturday, October 13. On Sunday, October 14, TTC buses resumed their former schedules. Buses operate every 11 to 15 minutes during Monday-to-Friday peak and midday periods, and every 20 to 30 minutes during the evenings seven days a week. The TTC again interlines buses on this route with buses on the 82 Rosedale route on Saturday evenings and all day Sundays.

Seasonal service changes end - Effective Tuesday, October 9, 2007

  • On Tuesday, October 9, the TTC changed the hours of service to the Toronto Zoo to match the Zoo’s earlier fall closing time. The last trip to Kennedy Station leaves the zoo at 5:32 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

85 Sheppard East

Seasonal service changes end - Effective Saturday, October 13,  2007

  • On Saturday, October 13, the TTC changed the hours of service to the Toronto Zoo to match the Zoo’s earlier closing time. The last trips to Don Mills Station, Sheppard-Yonge Station and Rouge Hill GO Station leave the zoo at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

53 Steeles East

Service Increase - Effective Monday, October 15, 2007

  • 53 Steeles East: Starting Monday, October 15, the TTC increased service during Monday-to-Friday morning and afternoon peak periods. During the morning peak period, it improved the local service west of Pharmacy Avenue from every 7 minutes 30 seconds to every 6 minutes. During the afternoon peak period, it improved the local service west of Pharmacy Avenue will from every 5 minutes 15 seconds to every 4 minutes 45 seconds, and improved the express service west of Markham Road from every 6 minutes to every 5 minutes 40 seconds.

165 Weston Road North

Seasonal service changes end  - Effective Sunday, October 28, 2007

  • The last day for the seasonal service to Canada’s Wonderland will be Sunday, October 28. The TTC will not change service levels south of Major Mackenzie Drive, although it will change some specific trip times.
