• A new "temporary" route due to  streetcar (HARBORD) discontinued for CNR underpass construction at Davenport & Caledonia Park. HARBORD car now terminates at St. Clarence Loop. Bus route operates between Royce Loop and Townsley Loop via St. Clair, Davenport, south on Symington and east on Dupont to Royce Loop. Buses operate 7 days/wk, 15 hours/day.

7F BATHURST-SHEPPARD

• As of February 18th, the Bathurst-Sheppard Bus route became an express service in rush hours between Lawrence Ave and Vaughan Loop. It will continue to operate on a local schedule, beyond Zone 1, north of Lawrence. The new, speedy service (Route 7F) will operate on a seven-minute headway serving residents in the Lawrence Manor and Wilson Heights areas. South of Lawrence, the bus will stop at Glencairn, Eglinton and St Clair only. Local residents in the districts below Lawrence are being served, when the express is operating, by the Bathurst-Glencairn (7A) and the Bathurst-York Downs (7E) routes.

86 SCARBOROUGH

• Starting March 4th, rush hour short-turn looping at Birchmount (86A) discontinued. Rush hour trips now operate to Midland (86D). 86B St. Clair midday and 86C Eglinton rush hour services unchanged.

Pharmacy Bus

• Starting May 24th, 1957, PHARMACY buses now loop via Sinnot, Civic Avenue and Warden instead of in SKF parking lot at the southwest corner of Eglinton Avenue and Birchmount.

59 North Yonge

• Two new rush hour branches of the 59 NORTH YONGE will begin operating on June 24.

• 59C branch will run from Eglinton Station to Bathurst & Finch via Yonge, Sheppard, Senlac and Finch looping at Bathurst via Ancona, Brenthall and Bathurst.

• 59D branch will run from Eglinton Station to Willowdale & Finch via Yonge, Sheppard, Willowdale  looping at Finch via Olive, Longmore and Finch.

25 DON MILLS

• Starting August 26, DON MILLS buses will be rerouted to Eglinton Station.  The buses will run over their regular route from the northern terminus to Eglinton & Don Mills and then via Eglinton to Eglinton Station.

34 Eglinton East

• A new route will start operation on August 26 running along Eglinton east from Eglinton Station.  Two branches will be operated on this route.

• 34A branch will run from Eglinton Station to Danforth Rd. & Brimley looping via Danforth Rd. and Brimley. Service provided every 6 minutes at rush hours and every 15 minutes at other times.

• 34B branch will run from Eglinton Station to Victoria Park looping via Victoria ark, Craigton, Rannock and Pharmacy.  Service is provided every 6 minutes and buses run semi-express stopping at major intersections only.

• The route is operated by Eglinton and Birchmount garages.

September 9, 1957

52 LAWRENCE

• Starting September 9, LAWRENCE buses begin operating to Dufferin Street.  The service from Bayview to Dufferin will be provided every 10 minutes.  In rush hours LAWRENCE buses operate south on Yonge to the subway.

59 North Yonge

• Starting September 9, a new branch (59G) will begin to provide weekday midday and daytime (10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.) Saturday service on Willowdale and Senlac. The buses will run from Finch & Bathurst (looping at Bathurst via Ancona, Brenthall and Bathurst) to Finch & Willowdale (looping at Willowdale via Olive, Longmore and Finch) via Finch, Senlac, Sheppard and Willowdale.

BUS SERVICE TO EDWARDS GARDENS

• Buses will operate to the Gardens every weekend until Thanksgiving from Eglinton Station from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Regular TTC fares and transfers apply to this special service.
