4 ANNETTE

• In conjunction with the subway opening, the route will be extended via Dupont, Davenport and Bedford to St. George Station for direct transfer to and from the subway. No Transfer tickets needed. 

5 AVENUE RD

• With frequent subway service south of Bloor Street, AVENUE RD buses will not run south of Queen's Park after the A.M. rush hour February 28th. Convenient transfer to and from the subway may be made at MUSEUM and QUEEN'S PARK stations. Rush hour service to Front Street (5B) will be discontinued.

6 BAY

• New bus route inaugurated replacing former DUPONT streetcar line. From Dupont and Davenport looping via Dupont & Bedford, continuing south via Davenport and Bay to loop via Harbour, York, through TTC Loop and Bay returning to Davenport and Dupont. Service provided seven days a week. First bus from Dupont and Davenport at 5:10a.m. and last bus from Ferry Docks at 2:00a.m.

• First three buses on weekdays and Saturdays enter service from Christie and Dupont at 5:05, 5:15 and 5:25a.m.

2 ANGLESEY 

• Beginning Monday March 25th, the ANGLESEY bus route will be extended along Rathburn Rd from Lloyd Manor Rd to the West Mall area west of Highway 27. The ANGLESEY branch will be split into two branches at Lloyd manor and Rathburn with the new extension forming one branch and the present 'Eringate' service the other branch. The two-branch service will be operated on a 12-hour a day basis Monday through Saturday with a 20-minute rush, 30-minute midday service. On Sundays and on weekday evenings, all service will operate over the existing 'Eringate' routing.

NEW CROSSTWON BUS ROUTE ON SHEPPARD AVENUE

• Co-incident with the opening of the new bridge across the West Don River Ravine just east of Bathurst Street, a new SHEPARD Avenue cross-town bus will be started. It will run from Wilson Hts Blvd to the new Don Valley Village and Henry Farm Estates housing developments which are located mid-way between Leslie St. and Woodbine Ave. Initially a 30-minut service will be operated Monday through Friday, from about 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

September 1963

2 ANGLESEY  

• Rathburn branch to be extended west of Hwy 27 to Forestone Rd as soon as road conditions permit. Co-incident with the inauguration of the WEST MALL route, the Anglesey-Eringate service will terminate at Martin Grove and Richview.

11 BAYVIEW 

• The present Bayview-Finch service to be extended and separated into two routes. Mon-Fri. BAYVIEW route extended north of Finch to just south of Steeles (Newton). FINCH route extended east of Bayview to Leslie. The present combined route retained on evenings and weekends.

13 BERRY RD 

• Sunday service increased to 30-minutes over regular weekday route. Combined Anglesey-Berry Rd Sunday route discontinued.

15 BRIMLEY 

• Route name discontinued.

17 BIRCHMOUNT 

• Rerouted and extended north on Birchmount Rd to Sheppard. Service increased to include week-day evenings and Saturdays.

21 DANFORTH RD

• Replacing the 15 BRIMLEY route and extending service via two branches to the Progress-Brimley and McCowan-Ellesmere areas.

• 21 "Progress" buses routed from Luttrell Loop via Danforth Avenue, Danforth Rd, Brimley, Ellesmere, Midland and Progress.

• 21A "Ellesmere" buses from Luttrell Loop via Danforth Avenue, Danforth Rd and McCowan to Ellesmere.

• 21B " Brimorton" combined weekday evenings and weekend buses from Luttrell Loop via Danforth Avenue, Danforth Rd, Brimley, Brimorton and McCowan.

30 DUNDAS BUS 

• Former 44 ISLINGTON bus route renamed and extended during rush hours from present terminus at Six Points to Cloverdale Mall area.

32 EGLINTON WEST 

• Extended to provide through service from Weston Rd to Eglinton subway station replacing JANE bus.

36 FINCH  

• Separate crosstown route on Finch from Branson Hospital to Leslie. Service provided from  6.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. Monday to Friday only.

37 ISLINGTON

• A new 8-mile north-south route on Islington Ave from the Queensway to Albion Rd. The present 44 Islington route will be extended and renamed Dundas 30.

35 JANE 

• Coincident with extension of the Eglinton West service JANE route to terminate at Weston Rd.

50 KINGSWAY 

• "Rayside" branch rerouted and extended west on Bloor St to the Markland Wood district.

45 KIPLING 

• Rerouted and extended north on Kipling to the Beaumonde Hts area north of Albion Rd. A new rush hour extension will be operated via Belfield and Martin Grove to Mercury Road.

52 LAWRENCE 

• Extended west of Weston Rd to incorporate 98 WESTWAY route and provide through service to Eglinton subway in rush hours. Saturday service now provided on Westway section.

54 LAWRENCE EAST

• New 12-mile crosstown line from Orton Park (54) and Churchill Heights (54A) districts in Scarborough via Lawrence East, Leslie and Eglinton to temporary on-street terminal on Yonge Street opposite Eglinton subway station. Will operate into subway bus terminal when facilities are enlarged. Evening and Sunday service to Orton Park(54) more frequent service to both districts.

55 MIMICO 

• Service replaced by rerouting of 80 QUEENSWAY and new 73 ROYAL YORK lines. Route name and number discontinued.

70 O'CONNOR  

• Rush hour extension to Don Mills (70C) replaced by all-day service on new LAWRENCE EAST route. O'Connor-Sloane rerouted on Carnforth via Sweeney, Wyndcliff, Teak, Carnforth, Lawrence and Victoria Park (Victoria Village).

67 PHARMACY  

• Rerouted and extended north on warden looping via Lupin, Budea and Sylla Avenue.

80 QUEENSWAY  

• Former 44 ISLINGTON service rerouted via the Queensway to Humber Loop. Sunday service added to the Valermo branch. Rush hour route via Norseman replaced by new all-day service on the ISLINGTON route.

80 REXDALE  

• Route name and number discontinued. Service replaced by extensions to KIPLING, WILSON and new ISLINGTON routes.

73 ROYAL YORK 

• Former MIMICO service rerouted north on Royal York Rd to Bloor.

87 WEST MALL

• A new route via the West Mall and local roads between Eringate district and Cloverdale Mall. Route from Burnhamthorpe to Rathburn temporarily pending completion of The West Mall.

98 WESTWAY 

• Route name and number discontinued.

96 WILSON 

• New branch extended from Blondin to the Rexdale area. Hours of service on the Finch Gardens branch increased to all-day, 7 days a week. 

91 WOODBINE  

• Extended from Providence Villa east on St Clair to Kingston 12 hours a day, five days a week.

95 YORK MILLS 

• Rerouted and extended east on Ellesmere to Birchmount.
