48 Humber BLVd.

  • This new bus route will run from Bicknell Loop via Rogers, Weston Rd., Humber Blvd. and Alliance to Jane Street. Buses return via Jane, Dalrymple, Alliance, Cliff, Cordella, Louvain, Humber Blvd., Weston Rd. and Rogers Rd.

  • Service on this route will be provided 18 hours a day, 7 days a week, every 10 minutes during rush hours and every 20 minutes at other times.

71 Runnymede

  • 71A buses will loop at Eglinton via Eglinton, Weston Rd. and York and return southbound via Guestville, Lambton and Rockcliffe.

March 3-9, 1974

25 Don Mills

  • Starting Sunday, March 3, Sunday service will now run every 10 minutes between Pape Station and Seneca College from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m..

33 Forest hill

  • Starting Sunday, March 3, FORREST HILL buses will run from St. Clair Station over present route to Eglinton and then continue east on Eglinton to Eglinton Station.

14 Glencairn

  • Starting Sunday, March 3, GLENCAIRN buses will run from Caledonia over present route to Eglinton and then continue south on Chaplin to Davisville Station.

43A Kennedy

  • Starting Saturday, March 9, New Saturday service will now operate on this route until 5 p.m.

7 BATHURST 

  • 7E "Wilmington" branch service into the Bathurst Manor district replaced by the 84A branch of the SHEPPARD WEST route from Sheppard Station. Buses will continue to run between Bathurst Station and Steeles (7) with a short-turn service running 15 hours a day between Bathurst Station and a loop at Sheppard (7C) via Sheppard, Canyon and Viewpoint.

11 BAYVIEW and 26 BAYVIEW NORTH

  • Existing service on Bayview Avenue split at Sheppard Avenue. BAYVIEW buses run from Lawrence Station looping at Sheppard via Sheppard, Hawkesbury and Bayview Mews. BAYVIEW NORTH buses run from Sheppard Station via Sheppard and Bayview to the existing off-street loop at Steeles Avenue.

42 CUMMER 

  • A new route from Finch Station via Yonge, Cummer and McNicoll to Pharmacy looping via Pharmacy, Finch and Victoria Park.

25 DON MILLS

  • Cut-back from Seneca College to Don Mills and Finch and extended north on Don Mills to Steeles looping via Steeles, Freshmeadow and Townsend.

39 FINCH EAST and 36 FINCH WEST 

  • Existing service on Finch split at Yonge Street (Finch Station). FINCH EAST buses will run from Finch Station to Seneca College.

  • The 36 "Martin Grove" branch of the FINCH WEST route will run from Finch Stn via Finch, Islington and Albion to the existing looping at Martin Grove. FINCH WEST 36A "Weston Rd" service will run 12 hours a day, Monday through Friday from Finch Station via Finch, and Weston Rd to Steeles looping via Steeles, Signet and Fenmar.

59 NORTH YONGE

  • From Finch Station via Yonge to Richmond Hill.

55 SENLAC

  • From Sheppard Station via Sheppard, Senlac etc to the existing looping at Steeles.

85 SHEPPARD EAST and 84 SHEPPARD WEST

  • Existing services on Sheppard Avenue split at Yonge Street (Sheppard Station). One branch of the SHEPPARD EAST route will provide service on Sheppard Avenue between Sheppard Station and Neilson (85). The other branch will run from Sheppard Station via Sheppard, Victoria Park and Huntingwood to McCowan (85A). 

  • SHEPPARD WEST buses will run via Sheppard Avenue between Sheppard Station and the looping at Weston Rd (84) with alternate trips running through Downsview Air Force Base, 12 hours a day, Monday through Friday. A new 84A branch service will be provided on the SHEPPARD WEST route from Sheppard Station via Sheppard Avenue to loop in the Bathurst Manor area via Wilmington, Overbrook and Wilson Hts to replace the "Wilmington" branch of the BATHURST route.

53 STEELES EAST and 60 STEELES WEST

  • Existing service on Steeles Avenue split at Yonge Street (Finch Station). STEELES EAST buses will run from Finch Station via Yonge and Steeles to loop east of Don Mills at Pharmacy via Pharmacy, Passmore and Victoria Park.

  • STEELES WEST buses will run from Finch Station via Yonge and Steeles to the existing looping at Jane Street. As soon as road improvements and paving west of Jane Street is completed the STELES WEST route will be extended west to Islington Avenue

24 VICTORIA PARK

  • From Victoria Park Station via Victoria Park and extended north of McNicoll to Steeles (24B), 12 hours a day, Monday through Friday, looping via Steeles, Pharmacy and Passmore. 24C "Esna Park" Monday-Friday rush hour service routed both ways via Victoria Park, Steeles and Woodbine. Evening and weekend service continue to turn at Finch Avenue (24).

98 WILLOWDALE

  • From Sheppard Station via Sheppard , Willowdale and Steeles to Steeles Loop (Yonge).

97 YONGE

  • 97 buses from Eglinton Station via Yonge Street are extended north of Sheppard to Steeles. Existing service between Eglinton Station and York Mills Station via Yonge Blvd (97A) remains unchanged. New extended night service (97B) on Yonge Street between lakeshore Blvd and Steeles when the subway is closed. 

99 YONGE NIGHT

  • Route discontinued-replaced by new extended 97B YONGE routing.


Except where noted service on all routes is provided 18 hours a day, 7 days a week. Improved hours of service on the 85A SHEPAPRD EAST "Huntingwood", 53 STEELES EAST and 60 STEELES WEST routes.

  • When the subway is closed, YONGE 97B buses provide a 15-minute service on Yonge Street between Lakeshore and Steeles. UNIVERSITY SUBWAY replaced by AVENUE ROAD bus after 940pm Monday through Saturday and all day Sundays and Holidays During Monday-Friday rush hours alternate trains turn at Finch and at Eglinton. At other hours all trains turn at Finch.

6 BAY 

  • All Bay buses will loop east of Bay Street at Jarvis. 

29 DUFFERIN 

  • Buses on the DUFFERIN "Dolomite" will now loop north of Finch via Martin Ross, Alness, Steeles and Dufferin.  The present 12 hour a day, Monday-Saturday service will remain unchanged. 

99 NORFINCH

  • A new route to be called 99 NORFINCH will provide rush hour service through an industrial area west of Jane between Wilson and Steeles. From Jane and Wilson buses will run via Wilson, Clayson, Bartor, Sheppard, Oakdale, Norfinch and Steeles to Jane and Steeles.  Initially there will be a bus every 15 minutes during Monday-Friday rush hours only. 

77 SPADINA 

  • Buses will run east of Spadina and Lakeshore via Queen's Quay and Bay looping via Front, Yonge and Wellington.  The new service on Queen's Quay will be provided 18 hours a day, 7 days a week.
