29 dufferin

  • The "Steeles" service will now be provided every 18 minutes during the day on Saturdays.

dundas

  • The "City Hall" cars are looping via Church, Queen and Victoria during the Eaton-Fairview construction and are signed "Church". Cars continue to run 12 hours a day, Monday through Saturday.

36 finch west

  • Buses are now running every 11 minutes during the day on Saturdays and every 15 minutes on Sunday afternoons.

16 McCowan

  • Buses are now running north of the CPR Yard at Sheppard, to Finch Avenue and are looping via Sandhurst Circle.  Service on this part of the route is provided 12 hours a day, Monday to Friday only. At other times buses are turning at the CPR Yard.

93 woodbridge

  • Woodbridge residents now have a rush hour service on Martin Grove Rd.  In a.m. rush WOODBRIDGE buses now run from Blondin Loop via Weston Road, Albion Road, Islington Avenue, Highway 7, Kipling Avenue, Woodbridge Avenue and Islington to Pine Grove (Boyd Park) returning south via Islington, Woodbridge Ave, Martin Grove and Highway 7, then south over the regular route to Walsh Avenue (Blondin Loop). In p.m. rush WOODBRIDGE buses now run from Blondin Loop via Weston Road, Albion Road, Islington Avenue, Highway 7, Martin Grove, Woodbridge Avenue and Islington to Pine Grove (Boyd Park) returning south via Islington, Woodbridge Ave, Kipling Avenue and Highway 7, then south over the regular route to Walsh Avenue (Blondin Loop).

March 30, 1975

100 flemingdon park

  • A new route replacing the present South Leaside service in Flemingdon park will begin running on Sunday, March 30.  This new service will provide convenient connections with the Yonge Subway at Eglinton Station and the Bloor-Danforth Subway at Donlands Station.  Buses will run both ways through the Flemingdon Park and Wynford Drive residential and industrial areas 18 hours a day, 7 days a week

  • Transfers will be required when transferring to the subway at Donlands Station. 

56B leaside

  • The present rush hour routing via Wickstead-Beth-Nealson-Overlea will be replaced by the rerouted South Leaside service.  During rush hours alternate Leaside buses will run via Laird Dr. and via the Wicksteed-Brentcliffe industrial area loop.

88 south leaside

  • Starting March 30, SOUTH LEASIDE buses will run from St. Clair Station to Millwood Rd. and Sunterland Dr. with alternate buses running clockwise and counterclockwise around the Wicksteed-Beth-Nealson-Overlea loop. Service on the route will be provided 18 hours a day, 7 days a week giving improved operation through the Leaside industrial area.

st. Clair - Mt pleasant

  • The existing streetcar service between Keele St. and Eglinton and Mt. Pleasant will be split into two routes at St. Clair Station. ST CLAIR cars will run between St. Clair Station and Keele. A new streetcar route, MT PLEASANT, will run from St. Clair Station via St. Clair and Mt. Pleasant to Eglinton. There will be no change to the present "all night" through service between Keele and Mt. Pleasant & Eglinton.

May 1975 

19B church

  • Starting Sunday May 11, CHURCH buses will run from Bloor St. over the regular route to Wellington and then run via Wellington and Bay looping at the Ferry docks via Lakeshore, York and Queen's Quay.  Buses return via Bay, Front and Church.

  • Service will be provided every 14 minutes during the day Monday through Friday and every 20 minutes evenings and weekends.  Buses run until 12:30 a.m., Monday through Saturday and until 9:30 p.m. on Sunday.

36B Finch West

  • Starting Monday May 12, the FINCH WEST route will be extended west on Albion Rd. from Martin Grove to a new loop at Humberline Dr.

  • Service on this extension will be provided 12 hours a day, Monday through Friday only, every 7½ minutes during rush hours and every 20 minutes mid-day.  Evening and weekend service will continue to turn at Martin Grove.

Yonge Subway

  • Delivery of the 88 subway cars ordered in the spring of 1973 is well underway and we're now able to eliminate the afternoon turn-back service at Eglinton Station.  Starting Monday, May 12 all northbound trains on the Yonge Subway Line will run to Finch during the P.M. rush hour.

  • In the morning rush hour alternate trains will continue to turn at Eglinton.

Express Bus to Woodbine Races

  • Starting Wednesday, May 14 the TTC express service to Woodbine Racetrack will be provided from three convenient locations

  • Buses leave York Mills Station each racing day from 11:20 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., with an additional trip at 2:00 p.m.  The one way fare is $1.25 (tickets only).

  • From the northwest corner of Roncesvalles & Queen there'll be service every 15 minutes from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The one way fare is $1.00 ticket.

  • Buses will leave frequently from Bus Platform 6 at Islington Station between 11:20 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The one way fare is $1.00 ticket. 

  • Buses return from Woodbine after the last race.

June 1975 

6A BAY

  • The Monday to Friday rush hour short turn service looping via Yorkville, Bellair and Cumberland will be changed to loop via north on Bay, east on Davenport south on Yonge and west on Cumberland to Bay on a trial basis.

August 1975

64 MAIN

  • Starting Sunday, August 31 MAIN buses will begin running north of Main Street Station to Lumsden & Eastdale looping via Lumsden, Eastdale, Secord, Barrington and Doncaster.  Service on this extension will be provided 18 hours a day, 7 days a week.

91 WOODBINE

  • Starting Sunday, August 31 WOODBINE "East York Acres" service will be rerouted via Main Street.

93 WOODBRIDGE

  • August 29th will be the last day for the 93 WOODBRIDGE rush hours service.

September 1975 

41F KEELE

  • Monday, September 1 will be the last day of service for the 41F KEELE "Maple" branch. As of September 2, Vaughan Transit minibuses running from Jane and Steeles via Jane, Highway 7, Bowes Rd. and Keele, 12 hours a day, will take over the portion of the 41F route running north of CNR North Rd.

24 Victoria Park 

  • Starting Tuesday, September 2, there'll be new service into the Consumers Ed. Industrial Area.  VICTORIA PARK buses will run from Victoria Park Station and loop through the industrial area via Consumers Rd. and Sheppard.  Initially the service will be provided every 6½ minutes during Monday-Friday rush hours only.

TOWNCENTRE EXPRESS

  • Starting Tuesday, September 2, the new Towncentre Express bus will begin operation between the Scarborough Town Centre and Downtown Toronto. We've scheduled a 30 minute trip time via the 401 and Don Valley Parkway.  Buses will run every 10 minutes in rush hours and every 30 minutes during mid-day hours, Monday to Friday.

  • There will be convenient stops downtown on Richmond Street westbound at Jarvis, Church, Yonge, Bay and York and on Adelaide Street eastbound at University, Bay, Yonge, Church and Jarvis Streets.

  • Fares - 2 adult tickets or 75¢ cash each way. No reduced rates for senior citizens, children or students on this special express service. No transfers issued or accepted..

  • Starting Tuesday, October 14, Towncentre Express buses will run every 12 minutes in rush hours Monday to Friday.
