21 BRIMLEY  and 16 McCOWAN

  • Starting Sunday January 4th, the BRIMLEY and McCOWAN bus routes will be changed to provide more service into Scarborough Town Centre and 7-day a week service to Finch on McCowan Rd.

  • BRIMLEY buses will run from Warden station over the present route to Scarborough Town centre, then continue north on McCowan to Finch replacing the existing McCOWAN route north of the Town Centre. BRIMLEY service to Finch will run seven days a week.

  • McCOWAN buses will run from Warden Station via St Clair, Danforth Rd and McCowan and will loop through the Scarborough Town Centre.

100 FLEMINGDON PARK

  • Due to looping difficulties at Donlands subway station, the route south of the Leaside Bridge will be changed to run to Broadview subway station starting Sunday January 4th. Buses will run via Pape Ave, O'Connor Dr and Broadview Ave.

  • In addition, at the north end of the route, westbound trips via Wynford Dr. will be routed to Eglinton via Gervais Drive instead of Don Mills Rd.

85C SHEPPARD EAST

  • Starting Monday January 5th, a new branch of the SHEPPARD EAST route will provide Monday to Friday rush hour service into the Consumers Rd industrial area.

  • Buses will run from Sheppard Stn every 15-minutes and will loop through the industrial area via Consumers Rd, Yorkland, Consumers Rd. and Victoria Park. Buses loop counter-clockwise during the AM rush hour and clockwise during the PM rush.

  • Starting Monday January 5th, the existing rush hour service through the Consumers Rd industrial area will loop through the industrial area via  Consumers Rd, Yorkland, Consumers Rd. and Sheppard.

March 1976 

  • The TTC's new Wilson Garage will be opening on Sunday March 14 and several routes will which now run from existing garages will begin operating from the new garage.  These changes may affect your service if you use the first or last trips on the following routes: 55 SENLAC, 56 LEASIDE, 18 CALEDONIA, 35 JANE, 81 THRONCLIFFE PARK, 29 DUFFERIN, 36 FINCH WEST, 84 SHEPPARD WEST, 60 STEELES WEST, 78 RUNNEMYDE SOUTH, 30 LAMBTON, 20 CLIFFSIDE, 96 WILSON and 24 VICTORIA PARK-STEELES.

  • Some minor changes have also been made to the schedules of 7 BATHURST, 16 McCOWAN, 45 KIPLING and 97 YONGE.

April 19, 1976 

TOWNCENTRE EXPRESS

  • Starting Monday April 19th, the Towncentre Express bus service will be changed to a Monday to Friday "rush hours only" operation running on a 20-minute schedule.

  • The service will run from Scarborough Town Centre from 6:40 a.m. until 9:20 a.m. and from 4:20 p.m. until 5:20 p.m..  Buses will leave downtown from 7:20 a.m. until 8:40 a.m. and from 3:40 p.m. until 6 p.m.

  • Fare - $1.00 exact cash  or 2 adult tickets or tokens.

May 23, 1976 

19B Church

  • South end of the CHURCH route will be be revised to serve the CN Tower. Buses will run from Bloor Street over regular route to Wellington and the run via Wellington, Yonge and Front looping via University, Wellington and John.  Buses return via Front and Church.

  • Service will be provided 18 hours a day, 7 days a week, every 14 minutes during the day Monday to Friday and every 20 minutes evenings and weekends.

  • In a test to try to tailor subway service more closely to passenger demand, 8 northbound train of twenty on the line will be short-turned at Eglinton Station between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. daily.

November 29, 1976  

102 Markham Rd.

  • The route will be extended east on Finch to Neilson Rd. (102A) to provide a new service between the Malvern Development and Warden Sataion.  Buses will loop at Neilson via Neilson, Crowfoot and Baldoon.

  • Service to the Malvern Development will be provided every 20 minutes for 12 hours a day, Monday to Friday with additional frequent rush hour service between Warden Station and Progress (102).  During Monday-Friday evenings and all day Saturdays and Sundays all buses run between Warden Station and Progress.
