Staring Monday, February 18, another north-end looping will be added to the JANE route to provide service into the Hullmar-Shoreham area. Rush hours only buses will loop (every 11-minutes) via Shoreham, Hullmar and Yorkgate.
58B MALTON

Starting Monday, February 18, the "McNauhton" branch of the route will be extended to Westwood Mall during Monday-Friday rush hours. Buses will run from Weston Rd and Lawrence over the regular route to Malton Village and then run via Churchill, Lancaster, Etude, Goreway and Morningstar to Westwood Mall. Service will be provided every 30-minutes Monday to Friday rush hours only. At all other times, buses will continue to turn back at McNaughton.
105A WILSON HEIGHTS

Starting Monday, February 18, a new branch of the WILSON HEIGHTS route will begin providing service to the new Glen Shields housing development west of Dufferin and north of Steeles. Buses will run 12 hours a day, Monday to Friday only from Wilson Station via Wilson Hts, Dufferin and Glen Shields to an off-street loop in the housing development. Service will be provided every 18-minutes in rush hours and every 24 minutes during the midday.

Streetcar passengers on Lake Shore Blvd are getting over the puzzling loss of the LONG BRANCH route. Seriously, the new streetcars display a route number rather than a name and LONG BRANCH has been replaced by a 'new' route - number 507.

The numbering of streetcar routes will soon carry over to the rest of the system. New signs are being prepared right now for the existing PCC streetcars and our equipment people will begin installing them on February 4th.

On a trial basis, a new Monday-Friday rush hour express service was added to the 39 FINCH EAST route. These buses run express both ways between Finch Station and Warden Avenue stopping only at Seneca College. Between Warden Avenue and McCowan these buses run local and service all stops. Buses run every 20 minutes during Monday-Friday rush hours leaving Finch Station between 6:20 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and between 3:00 p.m. and 5:20 p.m. From McCowan buses leave every 20 minutes from 6:50 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 3:10 p.m. to 5:50 p.m.
106A York University Express

A new Monday-Friday express service began running between Wilson Station and York University (Ross Humanities Building). This express service is in addition to the existing local service on the 106 YORK UNIVERSITY route. Buses run every 20 minutes leaving Wilson Station between 8:10 a.m. and 4:50 p.m. and York University from 8:30 a.m. and 5:10 p.m. This trial service will run until Thursday, April 3.

An additional stop has been added to the express service at Don Mills. The hours of operation during the p.m. rush hour have also been adjusted. Buses during the p.m. rush now run every 20 minutes leaving Finch Station between between 3:20 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. and from McCowan buses leave every 20 minutes between 3:50 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Buses will loop at McCowan via Sandhurst Circle East to provide more convenient service through the area. This extension starts August 31st. Extra rush hour service provided between Yonge and Seneca College. (39) Operated by Eglinton Garage.
57A MIDLAND

Starting Sunday, Aug 31st, a new Sunday and holiday service will be provided on the 57A branch. Buses on the 57A branch will run between Kennedy Station and Finch via St. Clair, Midland, Sheppard and Brimley. During off-peak hours, 7 days a week buses will run every 36 minutes on both branches giving an 18 minute combined service on Midland Avenue south of Sheppard. Also in early September, service on Midland and Brimley will be extended further north to loops at Passmore. Operated by Birchmount Garage.
85D SHEPPARD EAST EXPRESS

A new Monday-Friday rush hour local/express routing will be added to serve the area on Van Horne Avenue between Don Mills and Victoria Park. Buses will run from Sheppard Station express to Don Mills and then local to Victoria Park via Don Mills and Van Horne, looping via Victoria Park, Pleasant View and Brian Drive. Initially service will be provided every 20-minutes. Operated by Birchmount Garage

A new Monday-Friday rush hour service to the Jane/Emmett area. Buses will run from Eglinton West Station via Eglinton, looping via Emmett and Jane. Operated by Eglinton Garage.

Buses will run west of Islington to a new loop at Kipling (60B), Monday-Friday 12 hours a day. Co-incident with this extension a new rush hour short turn branch will operate between Finch Station and Jane Street (60A), looping via Jane, Hullmar and Peter Kaiser. Monday to Friday evening service will continue to turn back at Islington (60). Operated by Wilson Garage.
96D WILSON EXPRESS

A new Monday-Friday semi-express route will begin operating between Wilson Station and Islington. from Islington and Elmhurst, stopping at Weston Rd, Jane, Keele and Wilson Stn only. Service will be provided every 15 minutes. Operated by Wilson Garage.
106A YORK UNIVERSITY EXPRESS

This popular express service, discontinued for the summer, will resume operation between Wilson Station and York University. There are no stops en route. Operated by Wilson Garage.
In addition to the above improvements, LAWRENCE EAST 54 Monday to Friday rush hour service will be improved and the usual increased Fall and Winter rush hour service will be provided on many other routes.

JANE 35A - "Via Hullmar" service - A new Monday-Friday rush hour branch to provide two-way service on Hullmar Drive. Buses will run from Jane Station via Jane, York Gate Blvd. and Hullmar looping via Peter Kaiser, Steeles, Jane and Hullmar.
