100 FLEMINGDON PARK

Starting Sunday, January 5, all buses running between Eglinton Station and
Broadview Station will run via Concorde Place from about 5.30 a.m. (Sunday
from about 9.00 a.m.) to 1.30 a.m., 7 days a week. In conjunction, the
current rush hour 100B branch (Concorde Place - Broadviw Station via
Linkwood) will return to previous routing as the 100D branch running via
Linkwood Lane between Broadview Station and Eglinton & Don Mills (Wynford).
37A ISLINGTON
-
Starting Monday, January 6, buses on the current 37D branch running
between Islington Station and Highway 27 will be renamed 37A and extended
west on Rexdale Blvd. and northbound on Humberwood to an off street loop
north of the residential development. Service will be provided Monday-Friday
to about 10 p.m. and Saturdays to about 7 p.m. Buses will continue to
run both ways via Woodbine Center.
504 KING
-
Starting Monday, January 6, streetcars will provide three direct trips
from Long Branch loop to downtown. Streetcars signed "504
PARLIAMENT" will leave Long Branch loop at 7.25, 7.34 and 7.43 a.m., and run
via Lake Shore, Queensway and King to downtown, arriving at Yonge & King
at 8.26, 8.35 and 8.44 a.m. Streetcars continue east on King to
Parliament.
132 MILNER

Starting Monday, January 6, we're extending the route to make a large loop
through Venture Drive/Casebridge Court industrial area during Monday-Friday
rush hours. Morning rush hour buses (132A) will serve the industrial
area first and loop via Milner, Morningside, Sheppard, Venture Dr.,
Casebridge, Morningside, Sewells, McLevin, Neilson, Sewells and Brenyon
Way. During the afternoon rush, buses (132B) will reverse the looping
and service the residential area first. There is no change to
Monday-Friday two-way off peak service on Brenyon way.
131 NUGGET

Starting Monday, January 6, we'll be providing new mid-day and evening
service to Finch Avenue east of Morningside (Malvern Neighbourhood 3 and the
loop at Old Finch Avenue). Buses will run between Scarborough Centre
Station and Finch Monday through Friday until about 11 p.m. Later service in
the evening will continue to turn at McLevin & Morningside.
60B STEELES WEST
-
Starting Sunday, January 5, we'll be providing new Saturday evening
service (after about 8 p.m.) and service on Sundays until about 10 p.m. on
Steeles Avenue as far west as Martin Grove. After 10 p.m. on Sundays,
buses will continue to run between Finch Station and Islington Avenue.
DIAMOND LANES

The curb lanes on Don Mills Rd. both ways between Overlea Blvd. and Baxter
Greene Rd. and one lane of Eglinton Avenue between Brentcliffe and Keele
will be reserved for buses and taxis from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 3 p.m.
to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, except public holidays.

Starting January 6, the curb lanes of Dundas Street between Dixie Rd. and
Kipling Station will be reserved for High Occupancy Vehicles (buses, taxis,
private vehicles with 3 or more occupants and emergency vehicles) from 7
a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, except public
holidays. The Dundas HOV lanes are a first in Canada.

March 30, the Monday-Friday rush hour routing to Venture Drive will be
revised to provide two-way service on Brenyon Way. Buses will run from
Scarborough Centre Station over regular routing to Milner & Murison,
then run via Murison, Breckon, Brenyon, Sewells, Neilson, McLevin, Sewells,
Morningside and Venture, looping via Thornmount. There's no change to
service.

DAVISVILLE STATION BUS ROADWAY
RECONSTRUCTION STARTS MAY 11

We’re
reconstructing the west bus roadway at Davisville Station to repair salt and
moisture damage. During the construction, which will be completed this Fall,
YONGE 97 buses will not enter Davisville Station, buses will connect both ways
with the subway at St. Clair Station. BAYVIEW 11, DAVISVILLE 28 and GLENCAIRN
14 buses will continue to turn at Davisville Station, but bus loading
locations will be altered during the construction.

Community Bus Service

Starting
June 22, 1992, four new regular-fare community bus routes will be operated -
401 NORTH BATHURST between Steeles and Sheppard, 402 PARKDALE between Bloor
and the area south of King, 403 SOUTH DON MILLS between Don Mills and
Thorncliffe Shopping Centres and 404 EAST YORK between Coxwell &
Mortimer and Shoppers World. At the same time the existing LAWRENCE MANOR
route will be renumbered 400. The routes link up shopping centres,
hospitals, senior citizen homes, etc. in the areas.

Although
anyone can use it, community bus service is intended primarily for customers
who have difficulty taking conventional transit service. The special
low-floor buses used seat 12-18 plus space for two people in wheelchairs,
and the doors are equipped with the kneeling feature.

Community
bus service on each route is provided every hour, Monday through Friday
(except holidays) only from about 9:30 a.m to 5:30 p.m.

additional express service to Sheppard Station only. 85E and 85F express
branches run express between Victoria Park and Sheppard Station stopping at
Don Mills only. 85E "McCowan" local branch will be discontinued.

Starting
Monday, September 7, a new Monday-Friday branch will provide service from
about 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. between Sheppard Station and Scarborough Centre
Station via Sheppard and Brimley. The new service replaces the 190
City Centre Express route.

Starting
Sunday, September 6, hours of operation north of Steeles will be expanded to
include service Monday-Friday evenings and all day and evening on weekends
and holidays.

Later
in September, the route will be extended from Langstaff Rd. to a new
off-street loop at Rutherford. 165D buses will run from York Mills Station
to Rutherford during off-peak hours and 165E buses will run between
Rutherford and Wilson Station during rush hours only.

Monday, September 5, buses will run between Wilson Station and a new
off-street loop at Highway 7 via Wilson Heights and Dufferin. Service
on the route will continue to be provided Monday-Saturday from about 5:30
a.m. to 11 p.m. (7 p.m. on Saturdays).

Starting
Tuesday, October 13, major reconstruction will begin on the streetcar tracks
and road structure of King Street at the railway underpass east of Dufferin
Street. The project is expected to take about 6 weeks.

During
the reconstruction, the 504 KING route will be split into two parts.
Streetcars will continue to run on the east section both ways between
Broadview Station and Bathurst via Broadview, Queen and King. Streetcars
will continue south on Bathurst to the streetcar loop on Fleet Street.
In the west end, streetcars will be replaced with buses running both ways
between Dundas West Station and Church via Roncesvalles and King.
Buses will loop at Church via Toronto, Adelaide, Church and King.
